Since I more than likely won’t get to play the DBFZ beta though, I’m gonna have to live vicariously through streams when it launches. You should def stream it Ostrich - I’ll come and heckle you

Super Saiyan Blue looks so good. I’m adding Goku as my last character just for the Kaioken X10 Kamehameha
im happy it seems that not only do the blue forms get new moves but the playstyles of the charecters change. goku seems to lose his fullscreen kameha in exhange for that sick overhead kick and the one inch punch which may make him more combo based than his all around jack of all trade regular form.
vegeta also looks totally different with those 2 seemingly command grabs. do you think they might make him some sort of mobile grappler???

Despite looking like goku I would actually prefer goku black instead of zamasu. I have a thing for characters using scythes which unfortunately he doesn’t use a lot in the anime. Blacks powers are a lot less explored than zamasu merged or otherwise and it would be cool for dbzf to fix that

I’m still unconvinced that we needed Super Saiyan Blue Hair Dye in a game with limited roster slots, but I’ll concede that it looks like ASW is at least putting work into making them play a bit differently. I don’t know that I saw all that much outside of the supers that was really different, but will withhold judgement until we see them in a more complete form.
As to the list of Sure, Likely, and Unlikely, my picks below.
Sure:
Broly - even with 16 as a bruising grappler I feel like he’s a sure bet
Beerus - he’s basically a main character in Super, and doubtless the most visually distinct “hero” in it
Tien - dunno why, but I just feel like the game needs another human, and Tien is the strongest one next to Krillin
Likely:
Hit - distinct look, interesting and very cool fighting style
Gotenks - the fact that the game already has two stubby characters makes me bump him down to likely. Still iconic suite of moves, but tiny powerhouse is kind of already filled. Still hoping for base form version.
Janemba - uber-powerful villain to bring in some movie love besides Broly. Unique look, and very cool and distinct attacks and fighting style.
Black - SSB has shown they’re willing to re-use assets, so even if he doesn’t make launch I’d expect him down the line as DLC. Still hoping for base form Black, not rose.
Ginyu - just a lot of potential in playstyle here
Yamcha - hey, game needs a joke char, and he’s still more plausible fighting against these guys than Hercule
Unlikely:
Too long to list really, so just gonna mostly include who I’d like to make it, but probably won’t
Zarbon - lol, dunno why, but I really want him to make it in so we can have an install character
Android 17 - I still want that magnificent gut punch 
Caulifa - I’d like her in, but probably won’t see her
Mercenary Tao - cited specifically as not going to be in the game, so Bandai’d have to be pulling some Eyedol-level trolling for him to make it in.
Adult Gohan - so not actually a character I want, but since others have mentioned him figured I’d state my thoughts. While the previous pledge of “no versions” was broken with SSB, I think it’ll probably hold for this case. The SSB’s were probably a good way to repurpose existing assets in a way that gives love to the newest iteration of the show. Adult Gohan would be an entirely new character, speaks to an era already very well represented in the game, and also doesn’t really have much in the way of iconic attacks or moments. I loved his “No, I’m here to kill you” line to Buu, but in general, Mystic Gohan (that’s what we really mean by adult) didn’t actually fight for very long in DBZ, and when he did didn’t have much in the way of “iconic” moments.
Those are my thoughts anyway. Should be interesting to see how it shakes out

I have an idea that might or might not work for this game. You can have Gogeta/Vegito on a team but only under certain circumstances. You have to pick Goku, Vegeta, and the fusion character. You can only fight as Goku and Vegeta but if they both lose, the fuse. Vegito/Gogeta would be stronger than most of the cast but he doesn’t have any assists.

If we’re talking Gogeta and Vegitto, then Goku and Vegeta are the fusion characters. 
Sorry if I’m not clear. You pick Goku, Vegeta, and the fusion character. However at the start of the match, you can only use Goku and Vegeta. When Goku and Vegeta loses their life bar, they fuse and become Vegito/Gogeta with a full lifebar and basicallly a third character.
So the “option to fuse” is the third character? So you just have a 2-man team, and then when they both die you get the fused version of them?
I don’t think that’s much of a compromise. It makes Goku and Vegeta slightly weaker because they can only call one another for assists, but both of those characters actually have very serviceable assists to begin with. Vegitto/Gogeta would be slightly hampered by never having an assist, but depending on how much stronger they are than the “base” characters that could matter or not.
