According to the DBFZ discord if your point character gets hit while calling an assist the assist is cancelled
So I found this video of some Android 18 gameplay, with some Krillin Gameplay as well. I’ve never seen this video, so I’ll share what’s new to me and things I heard/saw.

If that is the Stage Music it sounds awesome! These battles are going to be pretty hype with all the action and such.

Android 18 apparently can send 17 out to fight, while she does other things? I see so many ambiguous Mixups and such from her. Especially with the downwards super she has.
I’m really hyped for her. She seems a lot of fun!

For anyone who missed it:
android 18 has alot of different assists with 17.one of them is interesting. it costs one bar and 17 jumps out and started a monologue something in japanese. it cost one bar and at first it seems useless
BUT some people tracked the words 17 say to the anime episode where they fight super saiyan vegeta. vegeta and 18 fight and 17 starts speaking to the other Z-fighters that they had better stay out of the fight or he will jump in and stop them.
then they tested it… and it turns out that this specific 17 assist is actually an anti assist-assist that cost 1 bar. if the enemy sends out an assist during 17 speech he will teleport above them and do a version of 18s downward beam attack
That. Is. Awesome.
16’s awesome combos
Android 18 is on my team Day 1. That’s Godlike.
My team at the moment is Future Trunks, Android 18, and (undecided). Future Trunks to get in and switch to 18 for the insane pressure.
I’ve got Krillin on Point, Android 18 as mid, and Android 16/Vegeta as Anchor, because of Damage.

Yeah, as soon as I saw the monologue comparison with DBZ I knew it was an anti-assist option. I was hoping for a teleport-punch that would just decimate the assist (I’m still stuck on those crazy gut punches 17 did all the time ), but in all honesty the super thing is probably better since it puts a more significant hitbox out and should be confirmable.
My team right now is looking like Trunks on point, 18 as mid, and my boy Gohan rocking out in the anchor role. I want my meter situation to be solid when Gohan comes out - I’m punishing everything with a sparking blast-fueled level 5
Other characters I’ll definitely give a try are 16 and Cell. 16 makes players afraid, and we all know how I feel about that

Lol. That’s the idea.
In truth though, I’m probably going to play around with a few different shells to see how I like them. If 18’s setups are what I think they are, then she might be a really good point as well, maybe good enough to wreck an entire team on her own.
