I’d like to know what makes her lower quality when no one has gotten to play her yet.

This just once again hails back to no such thing as junk characters just characters in the hands of bad players. We have no idea how shin hisako will handle and for people to disregard her this soon is premature and foolish.

This always happens when clone characters appear. SSFIV Arcade had E.Ryu and Oni. Both were considered garbage since it added no one interesting like Alex or Q but added to the shoto roster.
USFIV had Decapre, an actual clone of a hated character. It also had 4 new characters (which may or may not have been ripped from SFxT)
Clones are usually hated regardless of how different their moveset or gameplan is. It simply looks cheap to the average eye. KI has been good with making every character unique in gameplay and in style.
Shin Hisako though urks me. It simply looks like she got bored of her look so she changed clothes and weapon. For an awakened character she doesn’t look that special. Nothing really sets her apart that would make her seem “chosen” by the guardians. That is my beef with her.
Other characters that make the awakened from look better are characters like Devil Jin (Tekken) and Izayoi (Blazblue). Even Oni (SSFIV) makes it apparent that he is in his prime.
Perhaps a more stylized or angelic version of her new armor would make the character sell better in people’s eye.

i dont care bout reskins as much as i do special moves.
For example: MK1, 2: Scorpion, Sub-zero, Reptile are visual design clones BUT moves are totally different. being good at one doesn’t really give an advantage at another. (unlike ryu/ken back in sf2, sf3 era)
lets wait and see what her moveset is like.

I just try to put my own dissatisfaction aside and think about the game as a whole.
I really don’t like remixes, I feel that they take up roster space that could be used for original content and I’m not really a huge fan. That being said I know IG and MS do good work and every remix we have is at least fun to play and well made so they’re always a good addition to the cast. I might not like it but there are plenty that do, just like guests, some hate them but they’re still excellent characters regardless of your personal feelings about their themes and origins.
What I want to know is, where are the survey remixes? We voted on what we wanted to see and we’ve gotten two that “nobody asked for” already. Does that mean season 4 is just going to the season of remixes? I was really hoping for a sharkman and rushdown Glacius. >.>

I once debated another buddy (sober) weather or not math exists. I took the side wherein math was conjured up as a result of abstract philosophy. I must say I did pretty GD good. math is a consequence of the rules we make up. lol

I just think hisako is a very meh forgettable character so two of her to me was disappointing

ya. I feel ya there. hisako is either call her bluffs (parry) or anticipate pressure. her anti-airs and throw vortices are boring. but so are thunders and half the cast.
Sorry, what? The REASON you play KI is because it has no clone characters? C’mon. This is like the ninth thread from the same three people unhappy that Shin Hisako is not a new character. We get it. Your feelings are valid. But you don’t need to make up ridiculous stuff and say it over and over again…
Shin Hisako ISNT EVEN OUT YET!!! We haven’t seen a single one of her moves or a single second of her gameplay. There’s literally nothing to debate.
If you don’t like clones/remixes/changed/recycled/(whatever), then it’s okay to be disappointed with Shin Hisako. I’ve said before and I will say again, this isn’t what I would have chosen if I was king of the world. But “I am disappointed with this decision” is not “KI is now dying because the developers are so lazy and there’s no $$ and I can’t believe they would do this.” Can we please ■■■■■■■ wait until we actually see the character in the game before we decide she’s the worst thing ever?

i guess its a matter of perspective. for me its not a matter of following as much its a matter of making a concept just as good if not better than the other “Shins”. besides its not a competition, your reasoning sounds weird to me because 3 seasons now KI never really did anything to try to bend over backwards and gain the attention of SF players and etc. even when some came and some complained about their grievience with the breaker system IG didnt cave and do something stupid like make combo breaker cost meter. im surprised you see this as “look at me” when KI never really did something like that for other FG players

Too late now. You guys should have complained when Shadow Jago and Omen first arrived. Those were the original remix characters but you all accepted them. Heck Omen is even a favorite now. Pretty sure people will get over Shin Hisako and call her a beast a year from now.

You make it seem like that people aren’t allowed to be dissatisfied with anything IG does and aren’t allowed to express that dissatisfaction, and that it allows you to make fun of those people in order to lessen their opinions, as if they’re worth nothing.
I repeat… Yet again… If you like something, that’s just awesome. But don’t try and silence those you disagree with. It’s incredibly selfish.

I don’t really consider Omen a remix in the same vein as these characters, he borrows a few normals and special animations, other than that his kit is basically 80% original content.

All normals are borrowed, same as specials
They are assambled together into a Jago esque body, with a mixture of Wulf/Jago stance. The reason this works is because his body is a gostly one, with blurry silouette. His punchs makes his limbs longer to match the animation. It fits the character, and would be totally uncomfortable to see in a solid body.
The reason Omen works is beause even when we see his body, he doesn’t say “I’m Jago/wulf with a reskin”. Only when you see the moves you can notice the remix
The problem some people have with Kilgore and Shinsako is that they see the body, althogh Kilgore has more unique animations than Omen
Again, it’s fine to prefer other content… but when people are so, SO vocal about their dislike, and fail to appreciate the good work in these characters(or at least, their negativity negates their positivity), they are basically saying that they prefer NOTHING over Kilgore or Shinsako. They prefer 0 extra content over “not my preference” content.
And thats just bad people. Some of you may not want to say that, but it’s what is totally percieved.
The amount of posts against Shinsako some people are reaching doesn’t show disconformity, shows dissapoint, almost hate. You are almost asking for not having this content. And some people LIKE this content.
I have my preferences, but who am I to put mines over yours? Some chars are not my call(like, I don’t care at all about Orchid). But you don’t see me asking to rework Orchid or whatever char is. You see me enjoying the content I love.
Can’t we pass among these preferences fixation and just enjoy what you love?
KI has a very unique and diverse char selection. It’s obvious that nobody is going to enjoy all the chars equally.
When one char comes and its not your call… just enjoy the ones you love!

I personally think they chose to not make another character for the samurai sword so they could keep her as the Japanese character.
Here’s the thing. People did complain when Omen was first revealed. A LOT of people complained, and they complained about a lot of things. People didn’t complain about Shadow Jago at first because he was pretty much a Jago cosume but they did complain that they had to get the Day One 12 Month Gold card to get him. But yeah, eventually people got over it and they all went back to waiting for the next character. Deja vu.
Oh and I love that your gamertag is Shin Hisako already lol
