Dark Souls 3 (SPOILERS ARE BLURRED. VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK)

When you beat the ensemble of clerics in the cathedral of the deep.

Yep. You will be asked if you want to go into journey 2 or stay in journey 1. If you stay you can go to journey 2 via the bonfire later, like it was in DS 2 :slight_smile:

No need to start over, just use another weapon once you find it. Which class you choose is not really that important in the Dark Souls games. You can even pick a sorcerer and turn that class into a knight. The beginning of the game might be a bit more difficult due to the weird stats ^^

In Irithyll dungeon, the area where the giant is. At the bottom there are respawning rats. There is also an item behind a closed gate you canā€™t reach, there seems to be a door on the opposite side. How do I get there?

Never mind :slight_smile: Found it myself. Must have spent at least 2 hours hacking on walls.

Meh :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a bit of an update to share later, and while I will not share it here, Iā€™m on the road to a very special finale to the game, apparrently.

I had a particular event happen which upset me, so I looked up the event to see why it happened, then when I saw that it was part of a particularly intricate series of events and choices which led to a secret ending to the game, I decided it was worth spoiling myself as to the steps to make the original event worthwhile.

Some pretty crazy stuff, really - but I still havenā€™t killed my second Lord Of Cinder and supposedly Iā€™ve done everything required for the ending!

The Dark Souls board game just hit Kickstarterā€¦ looks like theyā€™re doing a good job of translating the game to a physical form!

I backed it already, canā€™t wait to see all the stretch rewards and addon enemies/bosses/classes they come out with!

A Dark Souls Board Gameā€¦

Hmmā€¦

Part at Skeletalā€™s house everyone!

Well everything is basically done in this run I think. Time to create myself a woman! I hope I can somehow successfully put in both intelligence, faith & pyromancies in one character.

My fellow Unkindled;

Tonight was the least amount of progress Iā€™ve made in a single evening of playing Dark Souls 3.

When I loaded the game, I was standing at the Anor Londo bonfire, not having advanced whatsoever since having reached it initially. I worked my way through the short area from there to the next boss, and proceeded to die OVER A DOZEN TIMES before finally being able to kill it with assistance from a Phantom. I havenā€™t had that much trouble with ANY boss from DS3 yet, though there were a couple bosses in DS1 and 2 which gave me that much trouble or more.

The second Lord of Cinder, Aldrich, Devourer of Gods has fallen to Dravekā€™s mighty blade!

This felt like an extremely satisfying win, and I think the visual design was awesome, though the bossā€™ moveset seems a bit unbalanced, and I would argue almost unbeatable on your own.

The vast number of souls I got in the leadup to the boss and the successful kill gave me enough for around 6 levels; Iā€™ve now reached level 63!

Stats below, if youā€™re interested.

While waiting for my friend to show up for some jolly cooperation, I started a Sorcererā€¦ holy godā€¦ that crystal gecko at the beginning is tough as balls with a non-melee character.

Does anyone understand that ā€œHollowingā€ Stat under your SL?

I donā€™t have DS3, but if itā€™s anything like previous titles, you become more ā€œhollowā€ each time you die, with your health bar getting smaller the more hollow you become.
@TempusChaoti @xSkeletalx has this changed?

The only time you lose health on death is if youā€™re kindled (have used an ember or killed a boss). I feel like Hollowing may be a carry over of Insight from Bloodborne, but Iā€™m unsure.

I beat all bosses on my own :smile:

Not fully, but you can get rid of it by cleansing yourself(Velka or firekeeper). Think it have something to do with the health you respawn with after death. Read up on dark sigil for more infoā€¦ and maybe it will even lead to some correct info^^

@ziarist @Fwufikins I wonā€™t say anything more than ā€œitā€™s not something you normally have.ā€

Isnt it just an aesthetic number for how your skin looks? It doesnt effect your health like the previous games. You can have it set back to 0 by the lady you mentioned and another NPC I believe.

@Ziarist

Thereā€™s an entire ending around it, which starts with drawing out your true power 5 times. Itā€™s likely the most involved ending for DSIII to get.
