Dark Souls 3 (SPOILERS ARE BLURRED. VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK)

with this cat out of the bag, I will elaborate a little bit and say that it is part of the “particular event” and “secret ending” I posted about earlier. Regardless of whether you’re going for the ending like I am, I can say that I have yet to see any negative or downside to having Hollowing whatsoever, so if you somehow end up with it, don’t worry that it’s going to mess you up.

That’s what I’ve been rolling since I got the game (INT+FAITH Female Pyro) and I love it!

Huh!, is this why the guy I designed to look like me who turned out to look more like my friend, & then like a burned piece of poo :stuck_out_tongue:

I killed another Heir Of Fire (lesser boss) last night, and spent a while exploring what turned out to be a dead-end area, before finding the correct new zone to go forward. I hope to explore a lot of that tonight.

On a side note, Password Matching will let you join up with and assist a player who sets their Password Match to be exactly the same as yours.

This allows you to be summoned by a player who isn’t within 10% of your level (I’m 66-67 right now, so a normal summons would have to be within 6 levels of mine), which allows you to help a friend who is further behind in the game, but applies a debuff to you for the length of time that you are in their game.

I don’t know exactly what the debuff consists of, but I noticed that I was dealing less damage and taking more damage than I expected to. I actually helped my uncle kill several bosses last night by using the
Password Matching function, he was having some real trouble with the first Lord of Cinder and a couple Heirs of Fire, and I’m a lot further than he is.

The debuff made it harder than it needed to be, but we only wiped on one boss a couple times. The rest were one and done kills. He also got invaded by a player while I was with him, and I think I taught the invader that it’s not a good idea to mess with a player who has a Sunbro by their side! He got greedy, and met his end on the point of my lightning greatsword.
On my 2nd run now I stumbled upon the area where you first meet siegward, then jump off the elevator to fight the firedemon and finding 2 rings & some armorsets.
So fun to find such a … somewhat large area after beating the game xD
Running a whole game as a knight without the chlorantyring…

So that’s back in too… awesome! Mind sharing where it is? I could definitely use the extra stamina regen!

Unspoil my previous message, that’s where it is!

But in case you forgot and you are way past his first encounter.
Go to the tower where the giant shooting arrows is. On the way up to him jump off the elevator, then make your way down through this area, jump off some ledges, some buildings and then at the bottom of another tower(very close to the cursed tree bossarea) where the exit to this extra area is, is the ring. The ring is on a body behind some barrels you need to roll through. The other body holds an armorset.
Decisions decisions. Get 5 free levels & be ugly. Or leave the free levels and stay pretty. Hmm… hmm…mmm.

I’m always in full armor anyways. I don’t really care about how my character looks unless I’m doing a specific challenge run.

Same here. But as a mage you usually wear lighter clothing

Havel’s Mage.

I believe you want to take the levels to get the best ending?

I’ll get that on my dexrun after the mage

Time to remove the SPOILER FREE?
Deacons of the deep
were a lot harder when playing as a magicuser. Ho-lee.
Area effect spells
are your friend.
Accidentally attacked the hidden guy in the church, there goes that ending.
Sigh.
Attacking is OK, as long as you don’t kill.
lol! sadly, I stumbled upon this post when clicking the “dev tracker” button, and spoilers are not working there :sob:

This thread has never been spoiler free. LOL

No
not really  I was hoping that soul greatsword would work wonders. It does attack many at a time but because of their magicresistance that attack become almost useless. My strongest attack against them is the fire orb, problem is that 2 scenarios often occur, either some guy steps in front of the orb which leads to wasted FP or when I channel the spell they throw a fireball at me interrupting my attack and then I often get hit by 2 or 3 followup fireballs from other casters.

The most effective thing for me to do in the first phase of the fight seem to go all deep axe on them. It takes 5 hits to down a regular cleric but instead I save FP by using meleeattacks.
Going to try & see if great combustion is better. It will probably do the same dmg as the fire orb but that attack is so much faster than the orb. I ‘only’ need to herd the clerics away.
Or I could just overlevel myself a bit or upgrade my gear by why bypass the challenge ^^

This bossfight playing as a magicclass is a bit slow but more entertaining compared to playing a meleeclass
!

*oh, he can heal himself as well…

Down he goes! Only by using the deep battle axe. What a fight
I managed to interrupt his healing twice, cursebuildup more than twice, and he fired off no dark orbs.
