I think maybe having a challenge behind them would be nice.
For example, you have to reach level 50 with the character to unlock the ultimate challenge which is to get 10 supreme ultras in shadow lords or online. This also encourages people to play characters past level 50

It was just a bad joke. People saying that they might sell the Ultimates, so I made a joke like they sell all the moves.
Out of all the crazy âwhat ifsâ I do hope maybe the ultimates are packaged as one, not trickled in once a month fashion like the backstory updates.
Outside of that Iâm prepared to purchase my faves ultimates first and ultimately the whole cast

I think itâs safe to say the developed know we would rage if ultimates costed money unless it was like $10 for all of them that wouldnât be terrible.
While I enjoy the âStay Tunedâ thing every time it comes up, I think this kinda thing sorta contributes to the misinformation spread.

Extras has optional transactions, meaning you can play to get them or pay to get them. Maybe they go the MKX route and have the option available to buy easy finishers. Maybe its just there to showcase the Ultimates like the Ending cinematics are. Point is, your reasons arenât exactly solid.

What if theyâre unlockable through character progression and KI gold. I think that would be a decision for those who it free and for those who want to use their vast amount of gold.
Mk did charge for fatalities. Classic fatalities!
Also you can not use the 2nd fatality or any of the brutalities, stage fatalities unless you unlock them in the crypt. Most people just paid for the âunlock all itemsâ to bypass.
If they charge for ultimates, i will be done with KI.

(I dont feel any special type of way about ultimates, its just that most of us have put about 200$ into this game, and no developer should be allowed to keep charging for aesthetics when the CORE game is broken. {or at the very least⊠âbroken for the majority of time after each patchâ}. As long as this game has jank that effects the outcome of matches, money-grubbing is unacceptable.)

What if the initial wave of Ultimates was free. But anything extra after that like a 2nd ultimate or ultra would be paid dlc?

I mean really the fact that Ultimates are in the Extras section should say right away that theyâre at least unlockable in-game. Nothing there is premium-exclusive content.

MKX didnt what? Yes they didâŠthey did have classic fatality packs and you had to unlock all fatialities in the crypt except fro the 1st fatality. Most just paid for the unlock.

They had them, but as far as I remember, the classic fatality packs were free. Even if they were not when they came out they are now. I know, I double checked. And if you New what the combinations are for the finishing moves (something easily found on the internet) you could get them just by doing them.
