I’m feeling that the updates regarding projectiles (hail, fireball) have to do with an ultimate
maybe it can be derived from Cinders original style that everyone hated… I actually liked it!
He was supposed to be a rival alien.
I know this wont happen but, seems like that’s were they were originally going with it until the community freaked out.
Why does everyone act like the tongue is so great? It’s got a lot of utility, sure, but it’s ONE MOVE. A highly punishable and situational one at that.
Besides, Glacius’ hails are not even his main way of keeping opponents away from him. They are more to make the opponent hesitant to do something risky. Glacius can use jumping kicks and lances and they’ll work just fine. Also, wrecking ball isn’t going to hurt Glacius because he has a multitude of great anti-air optins.
To be honest, Rash kind of sucked in the beta. Maybe he’ll be buffed in the finished product, but in the beta he was so easy to counter.
The tongue only removed chunks if Aganos wasn’t blocking. Just like anything else that causes a hit reaction.
If Glacius gets reworked there will be so many ■■■■■■ off players, myself included, because it’s not something that is needed. My guess is Maya and Kan-Ra, even though I’d rather see Cinder get reworked over Kan.
Lol no he didn’t. He was actually really good, I was able to win with him in a long set against one of my friends that I never beat. The tongue was actually really good. I used him almost exclusively during the test phase
so Glacius DNA does not have an extra ice string. It made easier to think about Cinder’s procedure. It’s a very advanced evolution being who can adapt on different environments and create exoskeltons with any elemental structure. “Glacius” isn’t a native creature of ice. And to think that Glacius home planet was a giant ball of crystal ice. No “cryo-sapiens” at all. Forget about it right now!
Can you (IGS) create another elemental alien made of stone? Or perhaps an aquamancer alien?
I’m sorry guys, I had mistyped it. I meant the Chunks Aganos can throw out as Projectiles. I don’t play Aganos enough where I know the name of that move. ![]()
I think he could, but it was rather difficult due to the trajectory of each chunk. The LP version rolls along the ground, which means Rash would have to jump and hit it from above or at an angle. The MP version arcs, so Rash would have to get his timing just right to hit it. The HP version would probably be the easiest to hit, since it’s momentarily suspended in the air, but once it’s shattered into a million pieces… Well, his tongue isn’t that good. ![]()
It wasn’t bad either. I understand people are saying it wasn’t that good, and it’s true. It’s very situational. But people don’t just throw projectiles without setting something up. We will see how good it is during release.
You’re taking my quote out of context. I was saying that the tongue “is not that good” against Aganos’ HP payload assault special move, once it’s been shattered into hundreds of little pieces. I said it, because it’s 1 tongue vs. all of those little pieces, and it’s simply not fast enough to catch them all at once. ![]()
I read it better.

Why would you need an alien of stone when you have a golem of stone, seems redundant.
Not when one cant possibly know the facts and is cornered into a position with no other options…
Now, you’re the 1 making assumptions…
I think it’s okay to reveal the characters that will be reworked so that people who play/main them have a chance to play another character in the meantime.
I understand that it can be annoying if you are putting in a lot of hours of practice and it ends up being all in vain. Not sure what the benefit of not telling which characters are reworked and the nature of it.
I see it more as a service to the customer.
IG didn’t say the manner in which the character would be reworked. I think many are assuming it will be game play. I thought it was going to be a visual change, but they haven’t said how it would be done as of yet. Right now it’s just a mystery.
I think you have a point, but it’s a bit of a specific perspective. It is just a game after all. Putting hours in is supposed to be fun.
Adam has posted at least once on the forum that they don’t want to discuss the changes they are making because, taken out of the context of all the developments for S3, people are likely to not really understand them. The tendency of people to overreact and freak out about changes in the past suggests he’s probably right. All things in good time.
What if Glacius improves his hail by making an Orbiting cloud of shrapnel revolving around his body. This move will block 1 hit of a projectile and cause damage to the opponent if they connect with a non-projectile invulnerable move.
OR
Glacius’s Shadow Hail can now be Held O_O…
OH IG please make it the second one. Holding S.Hail just like Hail would be such a compliment to Glacius’s fighting style.
Or his hail forms a playable clone in instinct. The clone gives out damage to the oppenent but when the clone gets hit it will not reduce Glacius’ health bar.
I’d prefer it to be like shang tsungs ground fireball. Perfect for zoning and a perfect linker to either bring your foe to you mid combo or push him away to finish it
