What if he got a new move where he summons a hail from the ground towards the sky at various ranges, like Shang Tsung? Full screen anti-airs? That’d be awesome.

If they took the ability to hold hail , your trap that involves the possibility to summon one mid screen still wont help because shatter has a really long, reactable start up. If he was to summon one mid screen, it would just keep going until the recovery frames finished then you have to go through 20+ more frames just to get a med/heavy shatter.

He would be broken by myself and other stick players. He would be a better Kan Ra. Its not hard to hold hail and do other stuff on a fight stick. For pad players yea, but not stick/hitbox players.

Maybe they’ll change Hail so that it tracks instead of just flowing downwards, and the different buttons indicates how fast it travels.

If it tracked, I’d think you’d have a hard time with Cinder. Every time you tried to jump, you got Homing Hail to the face…Lol

As for the hail improvement, I’m not sure what to expect. Maybe an improvement to shadow hail?

So:

-New character hint. The space criminal. Humans(Ultratech) possibly get his technology, use it to decieve Glacius, maybe it’s used in many researchs(Stalker, Cinder, Fulgore, Spinal?, Aria…). Aside for heavy technology user, no more clues
-Glacius improves his Hail. Maybe if performing hail when another hail it’s out, you can summon another hail, or maybe the current hail explodes into a “shatter”, starting a combo
-Another new character hint: Another member from his species. Maybe with totally diferent moveset, involving other elements

Love his new background. As far as I see, Season 1 it’s the first KI tournament, Season 2 it’s more like outside that tournament.

The description implies that they’re keeping enemies at bay… Perhaps hail gets increased knockback?

In the olderforums, I had asked if we could get more back story to his race like maybe a female from the same species or another race that has rivaled his race for a while.

Maybe the criminal is an old rivalry race and means we might get another Alien for S3.

She might have stole it and left it for Kan-Rah to find, basically setting him up to open the portal because Ultra tech figured out that Kan Rah had the knowledge to do so. Sounds manipulative enough for Ultratech to do.

You’re talking about this line? “He assumes that he will eventually confront the one responsible for his crash and the origin of the alien tech that has uplifted this world.”

If so, then… what else should he have done? Assume that he wouldn’t be able to discover who was responsible for the attack? Assume that he would never figure out who uplifted technology of the world? How would help at all-- where would that leave him? It’s not like he assumed the wrong person had the technology and then wrongfully convicted them for that; it’s not like he disregarded evidence or facts to back up his own conclusions. He simply had confidence that he would be able to get to the bottom of all of the strange things that were going on earth.

I think they call that type of assumption going on a hunch.

The whole story feels like it needs an editor. The “violation of the 88 decrees” is mentioned even three times making it a bit redundant. Yes we get it, that treaty must be respected.

Then the bit about Glacius having an outer shell of different materials, which means there are rock, ice, fire, and all kinds of different Glacius. Not liking this, Glacius is a being of ice, hence his name.

And then there’s this retcon:

The portal opens only briefly before it collapses

really? not even a reason? not a simple “the horrors start pouring out of the hole but Glacius annihilates them and closes it before it’s too late”. Bad writing.

And then:

During his trainings, Glacius studied the dangers of folding space and the powers it could unleash in the wrong hands. Misuse of this power could open doorways to places best left sealed and cross not only simple distance, but dimensions, some of which contain things that have been “removed” for the greater good due to their corruptive natures.

Bad writing again.

Glacius studied dimensional folding during his travels? really? One thinks that if his own ship is equipped with one, that’s the technology developed by scientists of all planets, during centuries and costing millions of credits, where the risks and dangers have been well documented, this is not some side job one gets when the ship is on autopilot "let’s investigate the dangers of this"Nuclear power dangers have been studied all around the world, not by the commander of a nuclear submarine in his free time.

This story feels like the first draft of something, it needs polish and a peer review.

Anyways, the stories are just excuses to tease new moves so, it’s ok.

I found Jago’s story to be really good, Sabrewulf’s kinda good, but this one needed another round of editing.

It kinda throws general ideas at you, like a screenplay:

“Sadira opens the portal but it bluffs 'cause whatever”“Glacius comrades can be made of anything”“Treaty 88 is such a big deal”

I think that you’re going a bit over board. They are not writing a best seller here, just background on what happened from Season 2 and hints at what is happening in the next season. I think the point is to get people to guess and brain storm about what things could be. Which I think they hit their mark doing.
