I might have missed something, but where was the hint for Shadow Orchid?
There’s no hint of shadow orchid.
There are a few hints at the possibility of shadow versions of any of the characters.

If Gargos can make living beings just by using his imagination, it makes you wonder how he is going to play.

I’m guessing they’ll stay true to the old games by not allowing Gargos to be playable. We shall see…
with the exception of the Original Shago all characters have become playable. Especially one IG took over, maybe they’ll make an OP version that is only a boss character, but then make a balanced version everyone will be able to play. Much like Bison in SF Alpha 3.
Maybe. But I’m pretty sure playable bosses were part of the vision for the game since the beginning. If you think about it, it’s a lot of work to develop a non playable boss character and you don’t get anything like the mileage out of that as you do a playable character.
In any event, lots of things have changed from the original vision for the game (things like “4 special moves, easy to execute”) so you never know…
So…
Omen will cast aside his ugly WINGED form (character visual rework confirmed!) and try to overthrow Gargos in order to claim Jago’s body once more. BUT in order to get to him, he will need to take out his servants first… the vampire lord, the gorgon witch, and that vile, nameless, club-wielding, two-headed hulking brute who has been enslaved into being the Shadow Lord’s bodyguard (EYEDOL confirmed!)… Omen will need to inhabit another body to do so, and corrupt it with his demon energy like he did with Jago… and what other candidate would be as suitable as Jago’s sister? (SHADOW ORCHID confirmed!)
Ok, so maybe I read too much into it and my imagination got carried away. But I do have a serious question:
- So now Shadow Jago has become an entity of its own? Jago, Omen and Shadow Jago now exist separately in the same time and space? That’s what I understood from the text, am I wrong? If not, how can this be and what happened to Shadow Jago?

I think you’re right about the three being now separate entities.
Now Jago has a real nemesis to face.

I’m scared a shadow Orchid would not be done right.
I rather think the opportunity of Omen inhabiting Maya’s sister Mira from resurrecting her ( Charlie style)
A complete new character rather than a model dressed in another costume using recycled moves from the character roster

Am I the only one who doesn’t want another shadow character? I think we buy the shadow character story because it fits in the whole plot. Omen possessed Jago to fulfill his master’s wish but something happened and he gained a body and Shadow Jago came to life. OK. Another shadow character seems a little forced to me. Even if Omen possesses another character, Shadow Jago creation was an accident. If Omen goes into someone else’s body, 1) wouldn’t he prevent this accident from happening again? 2) if it happens it is not an accident.
Wouldn’t we all prefer room for an original character (or Eyedol [please reconsider including him]) than a character we already know with slightly different skin and moves?

I dont they are going to make a full character like the new Shago, but like a shadow skin like OG Shago just for fun.
But I agree…there should be a totally new character or EYEDOL before any attempt at a semi new version of a current character.

Assuming Kim Wu, Tusk and Gargos:
Eyedol>New character
New character>Shadow character
Shadow character>Nothing
That’s the math. I prefer a brand new character with totally new mechanics and appearence over a shadow character. Shago it’s great, of course, and very different from Jago, but he is still him in some way…

Also, if they explain why Shago, Omem and Jago exist at the same time, why they will create another Shadow Character that is just a “What if?” in the story?
Shadow Color 11 for each character would be awesome.
Same as how the gold color was unlockable for each character in ki gold

Wouldn’t be better if Omen took over a new body instead of Jago?
If he was to be as KI’s Akuma/Gouki, it’s gotta be a new human body for the herald to inhabit.

Now that Shadow Jago exist at the same time as Jago and Omen, I think that Shadow Jago is already KI’s Akuma/Gouki
