It is a choice to rewrite the character’s story or not, otherwise we would have a human Sabrewulf since KI2.

The original story ended “technically”. But at the same time it didn’t end. Know what I mean?
If you don’t think he’ll make it in ,are you expecting a new original character as the final slot ? Just curious
is higly probable that there won’t be any season 4. no more old chars to fit in, all must be created from zero and ideas for new chars are very poor as we have seen with new entries in ki. new chars don’t take neither the half of the interest that old ones create. player was always hyped and waited for the return of someone, like for eyedol here, but if you have only new entries i doubt about the success of a new season. we would have a season totally focused around the return of eyedol: no more tusk, kim wu, riptor or cinder to wait for.
for this reason the best way is insert all missing chars now, maybe someone as bonus later but without an entire season, and mainly focusing on ultimates and other aspects of the game.

As far as I’m concerned…it’s a sequel.
Eyedol should be the last character of S3 if there is any justice in the world and if you have seen Fchamp vs Kbr in marvel you know there is.
Nope. I ain’t believing it. Not at least till season 3 sheds more light on this.

Also riptor,eyedol, and gargos would be dead as well and the world would look slot more chaotic and apocalypsey.

End of the day, eyedol can just stay dead.
Or brought back only to end up being defeated along with gargos and aria.
