Can someone please explain to me what just happened?

Its easier said than done when he’s got minions out and you’ve got a pixel of life left and your freaking out because you almost beat him. People kept telling me that you can prevent him from resurrecting by waiting for his instinct so understandably I was kind of dumbfounded and frozen in place both times since I had no health and zero chance to win.

As far as I’m concerned this mode is unplayable at the moment. Its not even the resurrection’s fault completely, I’m lucky to even get him down to the point that he can resurrect. Its just not fun, its not enjoyable and its not worth the frustration.

Oh goodie. Perfect.

@xCrimsonLegendx I will apologize for one thing: you were right about him not needing full instinct to resurrect.

He only needs half, and if he gets it from the ultra he resurrects as well.

My bad.

Its all good I’m not mad at you or anyone here for that matter, its just annoying not being able to enjoy something you’ve been looking forward to because it was made virtually unplayable.

Think of it like really being into baseball, you can’t play at the professional level but you’re a huge fan, play with your friends and watch the pros duke it out because you’re just that into it. Then suddenly every baseball bat in production weighs an extra 100lbs. so you can’t lift them and just like that you can’t even enjoy your hobby on the lowest casual levels while the huge buff guys swing them around like they’re made out of tissue paper looking at you like you’re an idiot.

Crappy analogy I know but you see my point?

I know what you mean, I’m a low tier scrub as well lol they already said they’re gonna make some changes so it’s okay, no need to start hating the game. Anyways, the fact that you’ve killed him and made him have to resurrect should make you wanna go all the way. See it in a positive way, this could help you get better at the game. Look at how angry it makes you, now imagine how good you’re gonna feel when you actually beat him. I say keep trying to beat him while we wait for nerfs lol you might surprise yourself!

So they toned it down already. “Fight On!”

That’s good to know, I’ll have to try again soon to judge for myself.

Well he still beat my ■■■, I barely managed to squeak out a win but I beat him. Didn’t feel all that different to me, for all I can tell I just got lucky. I’m curious to see what they changed if anything.

He still has that stupid OP resurrection move and even when I was right next to him it wasn’t letting me hit him out of it as I’ve been instructed to do.

There is a specific time. You’ll learn in due time. It’s even possible to do stuff like this to him

Well hopefully some more talented players can throw some videos on Youtube demonstrating the proper timing soon. :stuck_out_tongue:

Fun fact: I found a way to achieve a perfect timeout against full buffs godlike Gargos.

Fun fact 2: timeouts gives him the victory :frowning:

Suggestions on how to make his resurrection less of a pain:

  1. Make it an X of Gargos buff he may or may not obtain.
2a. Make him require full Instinct OR…
2b. Regen his health equal to his instinct upon death so half instinct = up to half health.
  2. Only let him do it once regardless of characters used.
  3. All of the above.

Agree with 2b and maybe 3

I’m about to find out that specific timing for stuffing Gargo’s Resurrection. Wish me luck!

I want to see if you can land the second hit of shadow dragon kick on his way up. Could be fun.

Oooooh! Good Idea. I’ll try it. I advise you to as well. Might be fun finding Anti-Gargos Rez Setups. :imp:

I’ve already started coming up with some disgusting ideas. Here are a few:

-Glacius: activate infinite shadows, walk under him, spam shadow hail so he’s stuck in armor stun till he dies

-Orchid: air throw him, bait the explosion, combo punish

-Omen: heavy him, then bait out his explosion, then demonic despair

-Aganos: hit him with heavy payload assault into shadow ruin before he explodes

-Kim Wu: shadow dragon kick him on the way up

-Gargos: heavy devil’s divide

Ooh. I like these. Lol

Honestly, I’m sort of a scrub myself, but found that gargos himself was easier than all the fights leading up to him. What I ended up doing is killing him with my first… and he resurrected, I was still able to take off about 3/4 of this third life bar before he got me… then I had a second character finish him off. making sure to ultra at every oportunity. This was on normal, and just made it up to him for the first time today… not sure if the ballance patch had anything to do with that, but yeah… Gargos dead once.
