That was a mistake. Search for “Elegant Gothic Lolita”, which is the right term for it. The term “loli” means small child-like anime characters that are sexualized, so that was indeed a HUGE mistake on your part. XD

OK, i did a search for just “lolita”.
I am equally creeped out, but for different reasons. It was still not what i expected, and i still found strange things, but at least it was a nice “blend” of strange things that is common with Google Image searches.

What you should be thinking about is:
“Does this TYPE of Goofy belong in KI”
KI can have goofy characters, as long as they fit the “Retro Action” type of goofy.
A Shark man does not fit that type of goofy, and almost all of the classic shark-man movies were horrible.
lol not “lolita” that’s internet for child-prn. It’s a name in spanish though that’s how I came across that.
This is ridiculous.
If you have to jump through hoops and be super-specific about terminology just to find this one genre of fighting game character, then i dont think the theme would be relate-able enough to have in Killer Instinct.
I am not continuing any research on this, because i would really not appreciate stumbling across child prn just to prove a point.

KI doesnt have a true swordsman, so any dark magic sword-only character would fill 2 gaps quite nicely.

I know. But it doesn’t matter about Shark man movie. Shark man can be great character in KI because there fighting game have shark man character, it’s “Beast’s Fury”. His name is Don.

Lolita is a famous novel written from the point of view of a basically deranged and unreliable narrator who is clearly and admittedly a pedophile, and behaves as a sexual predator (before that phrase was coined). The work is celebrated as a literary piece and there is tons of analysis and commentary available on its meaning and interpretation. What people (being people) remember about it, though, is the graphic descriptions of fantasy and then sex acts with an underage girl.
Foregoing a debate on the intention of the author - the use of the term Lolita (with apologies to people with the name) is a purposeful reference to either a “sexually precocious” underage girl or an underage girl who is the object of adult male desire.
So, yeah. You are going to uncover a world of awful if you troll the net with this term. And without engaging in a value laden debate over what is culturally acceptable in different places or how we should all feel about it etc. (which can be appropriately discussed in an off topic thread if people want to discuss it) the use of the term and the different character concepts linked to it are inextricably linked to sexualized underage girls. By definition.
So forgetting the question of what we may or may not want - is there anybody that thinks MS is going to redesign chief Thunder, edit out Orchid’s thong and put bike shorts on Kim Wu and then introduce a Lolita character in the game?
