Cause a Mira and Sadira aint enough right? I’m only against the idea cause there are much original concepts than to re hash or combine character troupes already in the game.
Well, Lucky Chloe is a J-pop idol character, kinda like a Vocaloid who can fight.
To translate, she is the sweet pop-princess who likes rainbows, love songs and big lollipops.
A Gothic Lolita is more a doll-like girl who dresses in dark dresses that has that Victorian/Edwardian style to it, mostly known from old England back in the 1800’s (as shown in the pictures above). Mix that with heavy metal music.
I read that as sarcasm. I’m used to a more toxic forum environment… aka the Mortal Kombat forums.
But neither of those two are Gothic Lolitas. Dark characters, yes, but it’s another style and another kind of character. Just like ARIA and Fulgore are two different kinds of robots, Sabrewulf and Riptor are two different kinds of beasts, etc.

This devolved pretty quick. The Internet is so good for misunderstanding and arguments over… Not much.
I admit I’m not a big fan of the character concept (and I have no idea what touhou/2hu means). I play and enjoy lots of Japanese games, but I’m always a touch baffled by their character design. It just seems like “hey, let’s throw some more buckles in here!” I appreciate “style consideration,” and I recognize that it’s ironic to sit in a KI forum and talk about realism in any way, but I don’t see how they could integrate a character like this in an interesting way. The typical hooks - young heroine of destiny and vampire are already taken. So what is this sexed up pre-adolescent girl going to do in the game exactly? (I consider it to be a waste of time to argue about whether the characters are adults pretending to be extremely young girls or extremely young girls pretending to be adults - we are clearly going for a certain impression here. There’s room for a long discussion about whether that’s okay - but it probably belongs in another thread).
If you look at the character type in other fighting games there are lots of vampires, and then anime fighting styles involving things like electric umbrellas and cats you shoot out of a cannon… Granted the KI characters are ridiculous and derivative, but one of the things you have to consider for their design is whether or not the audience will understand and appreciate the source material. Most KI players have a shared understanding of boxer tropes, killer robots, and vampires. But is there broad appeal for the gothic baby doll fighter? Not in my opinion.

sure hell doesnt. lolis dont belong in KI period. you all wanna get teabagged and griefed by an annoying loli on ranked all the time? because believe you me, you put a loli in this game and that character will be running rampant by griefers and little johnnys because of her presumed small hitbox that’ll make her hard to hit. plus, people are just sick ■■■■■■ all around.
look up Tera, that game got overran with lolis just because you could make one. different game, different genre i know, but the effect will be the same. you went out to go fight and you were most likely to fight a loli rather than an opposing adult character. also to conclude, baby metal sucks but thats my opinion dont let it change yours
With Hisako, Kim Wu and Mira already in KI… I see no reason at all to add a character that looks anything like this to the roster. It would be nearly Filia/■■■■■ levels of similarity (keeping in mind of course that ■■■■■ started as a joke).

A gothic lolita girl would be awesome! Better than generic chars like Arbiter, Gargos…
Even eyedol is waaaay more interesting character and design.

Nah I’ll pick arbiter and gargos every time before an Asian pop idol, to me they’re a hell of a lot more interesting than a girl who looks like a doll. Also I’m pretty sure fulgore is a cyborg.
This sounds like a terrible Idea and i wouldn’t support it, Hisako has a baby metal set, that should be enough, but this would be way too far, the toad is bad enough
