Save room for expansion instead of starting out crowded? I’m not quite sure what you mean. Could you explains bit further? Just curious where you’re coming from here.

I think what has been predicted earlier is more than likely correct with ā€œhimā€ being next and Eyedol following.

And honestly, I would think a better way to handle a season 4 would be something like only 4 new characters, and spend the rest of their effort adding polish to make it feel like a complete game experience…possibly even do a bit more advertising, release a complete retail version…etc.

Anything more than that I’d say just hold off until the next game.

I don’t want to go into a sequel with so many characters that the only thing that’s added is pretty much graphical upgrades. Or worse half the cast will probably have to be left out…

Totally understandable. I think that even at 26, we could see a significant loss of characters. Maybe as many as 7 or 8, though some could possibly end up returning as DLC, but I certainly agree that if the roster balloons to 40, that you’re probably looking at losing half the roster.

I mean, look at the position Mortal Kombat’s in. That roster has to be hovering around 80 by now, if I’m not mistaken, and that’s just characters that have been playable. There have been some (not many, but some) other characters that have been story only or rumors or whatever.

I can’t imagine what it must be like for them trying to weed out characters while keeping popular characters and making enough space for the new ones, etc.

I think that process is kind of inevitable though for any game that’s been around for a while. Street Fighter, Tekken, Soul Calibur… After a while, most fighters tend to pare their rosters down significantly, especially if they’re trying to stay fresh and offer people as new of an experience as possible. At best, keeping the roster smaller for KI in hopes of not having to drop too many characters for a sequel just delays that culling for one game. If KI is a series with long term appeal to MS, with multiple sequels down the road, it’ll happen anyways.

So I guess I have to ask… Is it worth keeping this KI’s roster smaller just to delay the inevitable culling of characters by one game? That’s not a rhetorical question either. I honestly don’t know what to think about that.

Nah, more like general nemesis-looking, sigma wannabe mudda ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  lol.

After seeing Mira not have a stage, I don’t want another new character this season. I can cope with Eyedol, Gargos and guests not having stages all of them have justifiable reasons.

New characters don’t have previous stories to feed on and without their stage it feels like half of their story is missing. I’d rather have Eyedol

To tell the truth if there was a choice id rather have the last two characters scrapped in favor of season one retros being done right

Wtf lol

all the retro’s are awesome (except for thunder’s)
how can you prefer ā€˜just’ a costume instead of a new character?
i think the community would be ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  if IG said, ā€œwe scrapped the remainig 2 characters, and instead we do the retro’s for season 1 wrightā€.
sorry but that’s just stupid.

Well you just told me didnt you!

Nothing wrong with Thunder retro. Retro gives Thunder SWAG…

IMO my only ā€œretro issuesā€ I have are Sabrewulf and Sadira in terms of ā€œthey could be betterā€.

Wulf looks a bit weird, and Sadira feels like a lost opportunity. She could be a more ā€œspider-likeā€ creature(something like multiple eyes over her normal ones, fangs, little arms in her torax, darker skin…)

I’m ok with the rest. And personally, let the Thunder thing go, his former design was very racist, it’s out of place now.

But thats only my personal opinion.

Oh Gawd no Sadira with multiple eyes… ewww

Well, the lady it’s half a Spider :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah, for me nothing wrong with thunder’s retro, but some people think otherwise.
all the retro’s are fine for me.
now back to topic…

I like the red mohawk bare chest thunder with camo pants

My only issue with Thunder’s retro are his trap muscles look completely ridiculous. Otherwise, I dig his accessories, looks, etc. Honestly, I think his retro set is the best in season one.

Sabrewulf’s is the worst IMO. He needs his glowing, pupil-free eyes. Also need to redo his fur and physique so he looks a bit less like a drowned rat.

I’d also like to see Orchid’s retro hair and accessories fixed. Smooth her hair out, give it more texture.

Fulgore’s coloring looks plain and his facial structure looks off. Needs more of a polished look. His accessories are also terrible.

These are the weakest, as far as I’m concerned. Spinal is fine. I’d put him up there with Thunder. Glacius’ model kinda prevents fixing the fat neck issue, but they got his look right. Accessories are meh though.

On the whole, the accessories in season one feel rather low quality and the humorous ones both miss the mark and take up space that could’ve gone to better, cooler ideas. I’d love it if they redid these completely and polished the retro outfits on about half the cast, namely Sabrewulf, Fulgore, Orchid and perhaps Jago and Sadira.

Sorry, probably a different conversation for a different thread.

I don’t know if I’d forego two characters to fix this, but I’d pay for it if it were part of a conmunity fund. If they said Shadow Orchid is character 9 plus we’ll fix season one retros and accessories, I’d gladly hand over some cash for that.

I heard from someone that the last character wil be a Female with telekinetic abilities… I’m obviously not saying who but they are well known in the community. Eyedol? I have no idea but I have a gut feeling that he is the last character or next even. And I hope Lieutenant is scrapped honestly, but if he is not I’m perfectly fine with it
