Well the year is almost over. So I’m going to make a list of 10 games of the decade. This is in no particular order. I’ll give my explanation for it later.

  • Mortal Kombat 9
  • Soul Calibur 6
  • Skyrim
  • Halo MCC/Halo Reach (It’s a tie)
  • God of war (PS4) )
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
  • Undertale
  • Cuphead
  • Mario Kart 8

Also, interesting fact for everyone: We actually are not starting a new decade, this is a very common misconception. The new decade starts on Jan. 1st, 2021. The reason being there is no year 0 in the Gregorian Calendar.

My list is for the incorrect 2010-2020 decade, since that’s what everyone is going by.

I probably have Mass Effect 2 really high on this list because I just played it last year for the first time and was blown away by it. Haven’t enjoyed a a Bioware game that much since Jade Empire on the original Xbox.

I’m sure I’m on an island as far as MK11 goes and that’s fine. I just love the pacing of it and how everything feels more deliberate and connects better than in previous games. I’m kind of amazed at how few games I have on there from the last three or so years.

Impressive.

If I had honorable mentions It would have to be
Godzilla (PS4)
It’s great for the Godzilla fan in me, but the gamer wished for better or improved gameplay. It doesn’t have to be like the pipeworks trilogy but could be better.
Mortal Kombat X
Good gameplay, liked the introduction of some of the new characters.
Soul Calibur V
Loved what they did with Aeon, Game play was okay, but hated some of the new characters and the story.
