Same here. I tried my MadCatz TE2 after the 1607 update. It works as it did before. Still basically listed as a fightstick, but you can’t do any button tests with the Win10 driver.
Can you control it in the Xbox Accessories app?
I can use my Xbox One Razer Atrox to move about in the app, hit A to confirm and B to go back or exit. But it does squat-diddly in any actual games.
Actually the MadCatz TE2 doesn’t even show up in the Xbox Accessories App at all.
Oddly it works in the Xbox App. it lets me go through items and A will select stuff and B will cancel back to the previous area.
My Atrox doesn’t show up like the Elite controller with the image and button layout, but I can still control it. So bizarre…
Brooks converter
My TE2 stoped working after the update…
It was working with 6 buttons but now doesnt work at all…
EDIT:Ok so i made it work again reinstalling the old drivers (working with 6 buttons).
Can confirm it, Xboxone fightsticks arent working with the new update.
Solution: Wait for the Redstone 2.
In the settings under connected devices my TE2 is showing up as “FIGHTSTICK” however it is still not working with anything else. I tried Street Fighter V, MAME, and an NES emulator just to test, but it’s not showing up on anything.
I’m not one to complain much, but how hard is it to get one set of controllers working? What moon man coding did they use for these things to make it so impossible for them do do something previous generations of fightsticks did flawlessly?
Pretty much this. The X1 fightstick situation has been, and remains, utterly ridiculous.
I appreciate the team working to fix all this stuff, but the fact that it’s taken 2 years to get a proprietary MS stick to work on an MS operating system is really just shoddy on a lot of levels
Well, the thing is, how is a XB1 fightstick so fundamentally different from a standard XB1 controller that we all (meaning both consumers & developers) are are having to go through such pains to get them to work? It just boggles my mind.
Same here, I can’t use in any game. but I can do few moves in xbox acessories menu, awkward.
Basically, MS:
I’ve been saying this for almost three years - since it became clear that the Xbox One fightstick was being treated as something completely alien by the Xbox One UI and not like standard controller. I’m sure there’s some genius in engineering who insisted this was a better way but it’s just been a fiasco. Remember when the KI demo tour was running around and they were using 360 sticks to play the game?
No one from the KI team will really comment on this, and I can’t blame them. What would they say? But it’s the kind of thing that is really aggravating. I’m using PS3 sticks with Brooks converters in my XboxOne right now, in part because I can’t play Skullgirls with the Xbox One fightstick. KI on PC was announced about a year ago. It’s not like no one knew this was coming.
Sigh.
Just to make my rant clear though, I mean no disrespect to anyone involved in making KI. Obviously they’re making the best of a bad situation.
The saddest part is, I bet the Xbox team requested the sticks have these wacky PCBs in them to make it harder for 360 sticks to connect to the Xbox One (ie, they went and added some XB1 system-level nonsense so that people were forced into the ecosystem).
So now they fucked it up on two levels, not letting 360 sticks hook up to the XB1, but also not letting XB1 sticks hook up to W10 devices.
Utterly inexcusable by whatever team decided to make things this way 3 years ago.
Enjoying my ps4 mod and ds4Windows
Ok troll, can u stfu now?! Thanks.
How does this not activate the censor while simple words like ■■■■ do?
Really annoying, adds nothing worthwhile to the discussion.
I’ve managed to get the driver back to get 6 buttons working.
I went into devices and chose to pick driver manually, and was able to backdate it.
I’m quite surprised this isn’t sorted though.
Well, my Qanba Q4 RAF is now working! I loaded it up with joy2key this morning, only to find that something was amiss, turn joy2key off, switch controller on and boom, there it was! Everything’s working beautifully and I’ve noticed the absence of joy2key right away, it’s every bit as fast and responsive as it should be!
