No, it’s the official console version of the game - and to answer your question, the powerslide can enable you to get into cover more quickly, angle your thicker armor to ricochet enemy shells, and to avoid accidentally driving over steep cliffs. The new physics also allow you to drive into areas you couldn’t get to before, or even drive over other tanks (if you’re tank is bigger than theirs).
