Like I said in another thread, do what I do for ultras:
1: Ultra
2: Instinct Cancel Immediately
3: Sweep
4: Keep Holding Down
5: Profit
Short, Sweet, and to the point, lol

I can partially agree with that, while that is the competitive mode, there are still low tier players.
So people who do triple ultras are automatically poor sports? Lmao
You’re the real winner for that one.
That was pretty entertaining.
Yei!!! Another ULTRAS ARE GOOD/BAD question of the WEEK!!!
I will admit I don’t like to see my opponent doing 3 Ultras after a lost, not fun.
BUT, I enjoy doing ultras myself.. more after a really close match!! (1 pixel in my life bar, that as many ULTRAS as I can perform to celebrate )
I just feel bad if I am doing that after a Supreme, close to Perfect match, I don’t like to scare new guys.
I feel like ultras are a bit of a meta game to see how long you can keep it going. They are a reward for winning just like a fatality is in mk. You guys dont have to watch it. You could also just not play a game with finishers in them and play other great fighters out there like Tekken and Skullgirls. KI is a very showboat kind of game, with its core mechanic being centered around combos.
I personally dont mind ultras since they are in the game and a part of the game. Sure it adds alittle salt but nowhere near as much as being tbagged (for me at least). Taunting is another i dont mind since its just a fun little animation and is also part of the game. Another thing is if you dont like ultras performed on you, dont play online. Thats the one thing no one can fully control in games with online functionality. You will always have those many many uncontrolled variables.
The offline AI also ultras you.
That depends on what you determine what a lap is. I would consider a full lap to be the full extent of what you can make an end. If the winner chooses to do less, fine. Every character has a limit on what can be done. Except for a bug here or there that eventually gets patched pretty much all characters can’t exceed 3 or 4 Ultras.
& BTW, if a match is lost so quickly it only takes as long as an ender, you’ve got more important things to worry about than whether or not your opponent decides to do 2 ultras instead of 1.
Exactly, every game is different for variety.
Do full ultras bother me? To an extent.
If CPU ultras me then I deserved it haha, it’s actually quite fun to see the follow ups they tend to do.
People? Kind of but it depends. You can tell if someone is doing it to get on your nerves opposed to someone who genuinely likes it. I stumbled across a few people on the forums who do them for fun so it doesn’t bother me.
I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of my time either, as if 2’ is SOOOOOO much time that I could have finished like 672 matches, I’ll be real, I would’ve spent that time searching for a lobby anyway.
Ultras are ultras, I end mine just as a mutual respect thing. I suppose as a warriors code of honor that humiliation be kept to a minimal and the true glory being within the battle and not after.
That sort of stuff.
@TheNinjaOstrich I’m picking up Kim by the way. Want to play her a bit and see what she can do.
By the way, I’ve now decided that my reward for winning an exhibition match is to stare at the results screen for 30-40 seconds before hitting rematch. I want to sip my coffee, read over my stats, and just enjoy the victory and thought of a job well done.
It’s well within my right to do this every time I win, since it’s my reward for winning. If you don’t like it, don’t lose.
As much as I know how invested you are in the stats side of KI, I am quite ashamed to say I have never seen you play a match online against someone.
Is there any place I can view your fights? I’m also interested in seeing who your main is.
There aren’t really any fights of me online, I’m afraid (and probably won’t be since I don’t play except with friends). If I was trying to win I would play Jago. I’ve played Storm in some non-main vs. non-main exhibitions a month or so ago, if you’re curious about my playstyle, he might be able to shed a bit of light.
I think loser-shaming is now a thing.
I’m not shaming anyone just not going to let ppl tell me how to play the game.
Is just doing the Ultra Ender off the table for some reason? You know, hit both mediums and end it immediately?
That’s all I do anymore against human players, Ultra xx Ender swipe and move on.
“If you don’t like what happened to you, then you shouldn’t have let it happen to you.”
I dunno… sounds like shaming to me.
I don’t see how you’re trying to hold me accountable for other peoples inability to play the game i’ve spent my time in the dojo to learn the game.
Evolve or die.
I dislike the “if you don’t like it, don’t lose” argument.
Losing happens in fighting games. In fact, if you’re playing similarly skilled people, you should be losing about 50% of the time. Losing is expected. It is a natural part of the process.
If losing is unpleasant for reasons other than wanting to naturally improve and get better, then that’s dumb.
