I finally caved and got myself a Playstation 4…there were finally enough exclusives I was interested in to justify making the purchase. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is awesome!!

Submitting? Nah. It’s just considering I already had an Xbox One, a Switch, and PC, about 70-80% of the PS4 game catalog is just redundant. I mean, it’s not like I needed another console to run Doom 2016 on…

Yeah it took me some time to get used to going from The Division 2 to Doom Eternal. Even though controls are similar, the left trigger not being an AIM really messed me up, and no sprint button. But once I got back into the hang of it I love it.
Havent got back to Ori and Wisps but yeah its awesome!

Made it back to Killer. I have mixed feelings. I don’t really think that I’m that good. And my “promotion” match was against a lower rank TJ combo with an absolutely awful connection. Possibly the worst KI connection I’ve ever had that didn’t just drop.

I remember when I had to Rank back up to Killer a while back. My Rank Up match lasted 10 seconds. I don’t know if it was the Star by my name or the fact I picked Sadira, but he said “No” and left.

I still have some baggage from the discussions here around the ranked system. They have set it up as a “boss fight” scenario - which sounds kind of cool, but doesn’t really work when the boss is a random you match with on the internet. Someone could legit get paired with @storm179, while someone else gets paired with me and someone else gets paired with a guy who just advanced to gold. Which is fine because that’s how ranked leagues go. But then the guy who loses to storm gets bumped way back down the ladder and the guy who beats up the gold player becomes a Killer. It just seems like a better evaluation of your skill is looking at your performance over time.
My first two matches as a Killer were against RoosterDrill. So I’m glad I didn’t get him for my advancement match.

Ah Roosterdrill… it’s been a while since I fought him. He’s good, but lock him out on heavies a lot. I think our win/loss ratio is even.
Yeah the rank system is a bit wacky. It doesn’t help that sometimes you also run into a pro using an alt account. I ran into a qualifier with a level 1 Jago. I chose an alt just to make things more even and got totally schooled.

That’s exactly what I’m doing!
I’ve been temporarily laid off, and am being recalled on Monday but will be working from home since the office is closed. By working from home, I’ll mostly be treating it like being laid off, save I’ll be available to do things if my company needs (which I was already doing).
Long and short of it is I’ve been using this time to catch up on my backlog!
Overall, I’m currently playing:
- DOOM (2016). Almost done the game on PC on Hurt Me Plenty. I want to playthrough it on Ultra Violence, and I bought the Xbox One version to enjoy as well.
- The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Game of the Year Edition. I started playing this game back in 2006, never completed the main game and Quest before. I just did that. it’s a phenomenal accomplishment! I have both expansion sets to play still.
- Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I need to play through Halo 4, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach on my Xbox One X still. I’m also playing Co-Op Campaign of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (PC) with my father. I just got into the Steam Halo 2 Anniversary Flight as well.
- Halo 5: Guardians. Never played it before, and will be doing so after I playthrough Halo 3: ODST.
- Killer Instinct (2013). One more run with Aria and I will have unlocked all the endings for Season 2 Story Mode. Then it’s on to Shadow Lords on Hard. After that, it’s just playing Sets and improving my Shadows for the joy of it.
- Mortal Kombat 11 (PC). I’m playing Fight Local AI Sets, Kombat League, and Towers of Time every now and again.
- Mortal Kombat XL (Xbox One). I’m almost done unlocking half of the Klassic Ladder endings. Then it’s on to Story Mode. After that, I’ll just play and toy with the game as I feel like, since I already unlocked everything and played it heavily on my PC.
- StarCraft: Cartooned. I made a Custom Campaign for StarCraft: Remastered a few years back called “Interbellum,” and I’ve been slowly playing through it with the StarCraft: Cartooned graphics pack. I have three missions left, and want to get to them at some point.
So yeah, a good sized backlog!

I also thought about playing Doom on Ultra Violence but I wana knock out the other stuff I haven’t tried yet before I squeeze more Value out of Doom.

Started my third Skyrim playthrough. I played the original on console, then bought VR version and now I bought the PC version. Installed a lot of mods that make the game look gorgeous. Hope to do an XCom2 playthrough as well with mods.

Guys this Predator game looks like a lot of fun! Ive watch a few streams and the team looks like they are having a lot of fun. I think I want to try it while its hot. Anyone else play it? Thoughts?
I also bought Resident Evil 3 tonight… door pick up at game stop. Dude game out to my car and handed it right to me through the T -tops of my Fire Bird. LOL
But currently mainly playing Doom Eternal and The Division 2 on Xbox. … & Horizon Zero Dawn & Journey on PS4.
