I understand Lost Children is my second favorite my first being when Guts gets his Berserk Armor.. lets hope this anime gets to that point even if it only one episode.

Well I am subscribed to crunchyroll so I get to watch it as it airs and for me the episode already showed up and last week I saw it on thursday. I think if you have crunchyroll premium you can watch it as it airs in Japan.
I’d rather wait for Subs. That and I’ll be at EVO. So I’ll probably see it Monday night.
Subs air in Japan same day. Atleast on crunchyroll. Only downfall is watching it as it airs is like twitch quality because it is being streamed sometimes it can look blurry if you know what I mean.

Guts skin for Tusk is too godlike maybe the scorpio can handle but I don’t think the XB1 has the power

Overall this ep was better than the first two but the apostle fight was underwhelming there wasn’t so much dialogue in the manga.

The game will be released in the west in fall 2016 for PS4, PS Vita and Steam following a Japanese release on September 21st for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.
Hopefully that means an October release here!

I’m going to spoil the section of my post below, just in case what I’m posting may be in the story mode of the upcoming game.
[spoiler] I have just finished watching the three “Egg of the King” sort-of-movies after having no previous experience with the show/series/characters, and I have to say I have some confusion and utter annoyance with a few things.
I never particularly liked Griffith, although I felt that as the leader of the Hawks he was a protagonist who would turn out to be much more interesting and benevolent by the end of the story. I always felt like he was annoying in some way. I thought that he would eventually move in such a way as to take control of the kingdom, and that the prophecy would have him leading an army (including Guts) against some monstrous force, which might cost Guts his life.
I never anticipated the transformation which happened. I feel a serious hatred for him with regards to the sudden disinterest in the lives of the Hawks, and it feels completely out of character even after a year of torture, considering the Hawks rescued and cared for him all this time.
I always felt like he had a homosexual love for Guts, hidden under a thin veil of friendship. I suppose he’s bisexual based on his interest in the princess. When he raped Casca I became absolutely furious. Guts and Casca cared for Griffith above all others, both emotionally and physically taking care of him after the rescue. They supported him, and Guts even displayed monumental efforts in the face of absolute oblivion to rescue him from the demon lords. The fact that he would rape Casca makes NO sense to me. He cared for both of these people, and they cared for him all the way up to the point where he was reborn as a demon.
I hate the fact that he did that to her, and I think it was a completely unearned ■■■■■ you” to both Guts and Casca. I don’t think the movies did enough to show an actual change of his personality, or a secret hatred of one or both of them. I always hate seeing an evil man rape someone, but the entire string of events which led to that moment made the (seemingly arbitrary) betrayal that much worse. I have dealt with betrayals (though thankfully not nearly that vile) in my personal life, and my hate for that kind of person runs deep.

I’m still keeping my eye on the game, and if it does end up releasing for the One I will probably get it; I also have a Vita and PC, but I would probably prefer it on the One in case I have anyone else to play it with.
I’ll be picking it up on PC if it doesn’t come out on the Xbone, so if you wanna potentially play together, then I’ll be down.
In regards to your feelings on Griffith, I recommend watching the '98 anime or reading the manga up to that point. I feel like they both provide that reasoning you’re looking for. If you choose not to due to time, or what have you, I’ll be happy to give you the rundown.

[spoiler]That’s kind of the problem with just watching the movies. As I recall they don’t cover the Black Swordsman arc at all, during which Griffith’s betrayal has already been revealed. You’re supposed to read that, and then make inferences about Griffith’s motives from his moments of unusual behavior in the Golden Age arc. IIRC even the original anime only gives one episode to the Black Swordsman arc, then launches right into the Golden Age.
Unfortunately for people that prefer watching over reading, to get the complete Berserk experience you just have to read it. Skipping the Black Swordsman arc will make Griffith’s betrayal into a shocking twist…but not knowing it beforehand completely changes your perception of his actions and results in a story that makes less sense.[/spoiler]
I’m not real big on anime, to be honest.
I have a tiny number of specific ones I have enjoyed (Fullmetal Alchemist, circa-2000 DBZ, a couple of others) but it’s hard for me to get into them. I liked this one particularly because it was low on the “goofy/ridiculous” scale, but still pretty violent and realistic. The medieval Europesque setting was also really cool.
I wouldn’t mind a rundown or explanation, if you guys don’t mind.

Anyways I can see why you feel that way the 97 anime cut out a lot from the manga and the movies cut out even more although I think they are all great if you want to know all the full details and reasoning leading up to what Griffith did you have to read the manga or read up a summary of Griffith and why he did it based on the manga with all the details and timelines formatted because when you do it will all make perfect sense BUT will make you hate him that much more. Griffith is, contrary to how the anime/movies make him seem in the golden age, a man who only loves/cares for his own desires and ambitions and would use anyone in any way to achieve what he believes to be his destiny.
I cannot wait to see Guts gore that SoAB into crude pieces of meat with his dragonslayer. Hopefully Miura is around long enough and in good health to finish his masterpiece.

Without spoilers could someone tell me if the anime has all content from the manga? I think I read that you guys were saying certain arcs were removed?
As much as I want this (and I will be getting a PS4 but not just for this game) I can’t help but worry that KT will simply release a “a bit better” edition later on and then release an “ultimate” version even later still.
I do enjoy their games but vowed never to get them brand new again after all the little extra versions of the DW and SW games. Saying that Hokuto Musuo didn’t get any updates (only a sequel) maybe they’ll do the same with this?
No. The anime and movies do not have ALL the content from the manga. They have a really good amount but they still leave out a lot of details here and there. For example the anime/movies leave out a lot of backstory from both Guts and Griffiths past that is pretty important among other things.
I wonder when will we see Berserk manga fine chapter? Don’t get me wrong. Not like I’m tired of Berserk because it’s too long. I really want to see Guts fight Griffith with berserk armor in final chapter! That would very awesome! But I’m bit worry about Kentaro Miura because of his health… If he dead, then no more Berserk manga… : /
I belueve Miura said in an interview he already knows how he wants it to end and I wouldn’t be surprised if he has written somewhere a summary or outline of how things will progress and climax. If in the worst case Miura is unable to finish the manga because of his health or something I am confident one of his senior writters or someone would pick up where he left off with all of Miuras notes and stuff as reference.
Although, we would get a noticeably different art style and story telling because one cannot copy Miura but as long as Guts gets some closure I am good.
