Its nearly 5AM and the update still won’t drop so I’ve forcibly jump-started the update by means of re-installing the game. Here are all of the new features I have access to thus far for those who can’t be home to update the game and check them out for themselves.
Me to, I’m thinking they’ll most likely be red recolors of the mimics and shadows since this update seems to be fixated on skins. Also its pretty nice to see that we can unlock KI gold for free now just by playing games, gives those who complain about the costs one less reason to.
The Shadow skins are unlocked with Shadow Points, that you can get from the Shadow Lab and now from Shadow Lords or the daily rewards thing. My Glacius I think was bout 30k SP while I only have 2k from all of my Shadow Lab time played to date… I’m not going to worry though because I’m sure SP earning just got a whole lot easier.
If you have one unlocked you have to choose your character then it should say “to skins” next to your colors. Press left or right to toggle over to the skin selection. Keep in mind though that you can’t wear accessories with them still, so you have to choose a default costume or retro for the skins to appear.

Because you switch to the skins menu from the Color selection, you select your Accessory set before then. They stay equipped when you switch to the skin menu. I saw it when I was making my team for SL…before it crashed, of course.
Actually the daily loot just says “Finish a match” so I imagine it could be for any mode in the game. Only the Astral gem rewards seem specific to a mode.
