Ultimates are here!

Well maybe this how they’re gonna do it? personally I like how they’re going with this. From what I’ve been hearing though they’re not gonna do the same seasonal model this time around so season4 will likely be different.

I thought that all this stuff would be post S3 content
The 3 new characters
The ultimates
The skin packs
Etc…
And all this would generate revenue, until S4 is unveiled and we get what you would expect from a season, original characters, stages, balance and mechanics issues.

By acknowledging that Maya’s ultimate is or isn’t anything, confirms that it exists.

Something to think about:

We got both Kilgore announcement and Kilgore release without any special date.

This year we still have:

-KI cup (last KI cup we got Kim’s first gameplay and Arbiter’s trailer)
-E3 (biggest audience event)
-EVO (biggest fighting game event)

If I have to guess:
-We will get a look to the ultimates and a new character on KI cup
-Another character announce on E3
-Ultimates release date, and maybe more content

Did a little messing around again. Basically he slices twice, and palm hits him.. Then fire charges his sword, and does sort of a Terry Bogard Fire ground pound. While he is flying up, I want to show Jago running, from top view for a super upper-cut to the sky, rather than just appearing.Afterwards, he will then charge up his spirt bomb.

Yes, most likely there will not be a package named season 4, but as far as content, we will have same seasonal amount. I think we will have 7 new characters in general because there are 4 spaces in the selection screen that cannot stay empty(or there will be a new arrangement, because as i see in the new-colored news menu of ultra-combo.com this year we will have square diamonds instead of exagons)(am i seeing too much?). Also i thing they are quiting the seasonal package model because last year they finally wanted shadow lords to be a saparate release but they couldn’t do that. because it was in season 3 bundle. So they made a different way named Difinitive Edition.

Still no news on the stages.

I don’t think there’ll be that many characters, just a couple “variant” ones like Kilgore and maybe a guest. I’d love a Battletoads and Eyedol stage though.

I’m not super worried about stages at the moment. Simply because we still have quite alot of them. However since Ultimates are finally becoming a thing now, I wouldn’t have any problem supporting the push for new stages after Ultimates return.

Rash should get an ultimate where he calls the rest of the battletoads… Also, Stage Ultimates??? #PleaseKI

They should call it… " EYE OF THE TIGER"

yea and they all swing in alternatively to put a beat down on the opponent

Not really. If the don’t have a large amont of content to fill a season and charge at full price.. then doing them as a part of a season would just prolong it.. since they already announced another 2 in coming characters and the inclusion of ultimates.. they model of delivering content as changed. This could mean there is other, larger stuff going on in the background and having regular updates with singular DLC is the best why to tackle both at the same time.

the thing with stages isn’t if they are a lot or a few. it is about every character having one (but this belong to another topic)
