Yeah, doing the textual option select of “hey, don’t take this the wrong way because I think this thing is great and it doesn’t need to change… but we should change it.” doesn’t really absolve you.
If you want to voice an opinion, that’s fine. But don’t try to have your cake and eat it too when it comes to petty opinions.

I don’t have much of an issue with TJ’s ultimate but some others do. This thread is meant for suggestions.

I think if they used the technique to slow down a portion of a hit to the gut and then zoom in on the face to show the hard hitting pain and then speed back up for a couple of hits followed by the dramatic hay maker at the end. I think that would add a little more flare visually. When I first saw it, I must admit, it was a bit underwhelming.
Just for some context here, TJ had two no mercy moves in the first game. The reason everyone is fixated on the screen punch in that game is because the other one was the lamest thing ever seen in a video game. He just stands in front of the character and snaps their neck. Then stands to the side while they fall over.
So yeah, this is a boxer punching someone. It’s my least favorite. But there will always be a least favorite. Do people have good and interesting ideas for cool TJ Ultimates? Sure. But it’s minorly insulting to think that IG and MS just didn’t think to give him something cooler. They are balancing a lot of things, including how best to use existing animations. It’s easy to say “make him turn into a dinosaur” but harder to program it.
And the title of the thread is “TJ’s Ultimate should be redone?” That’s looking a gift horse in the mouth and no matter how you qualify it in your OP, you’re still basically attempting to get people to sign your petition to send them back to the drawing board. Without really knowing anything about how they got to the ultimate they have given us and not recognizing that lots of people have said this is their favorite one.
So yeah. I’m kind of with @Somea2V @GothVampirella and @SonicDolphin117 on this one.

I like it. The Ultimate will be better however…if they released TJ’s old boxing gloves as micro-dlc for $49.99 (I know it’s a lot for “You” but at this point, I’m in shape to invest in a TJ Combo Boxing Glove pack just for the sake of completion)!!

It always amazes me when people don’t think it’s at all insulting or inappropriate to tell the developers they did a ■■■■ job and make a bunch of barely thought out suggestions to “improve it,” and then immediately become thin-skinned snowflakes if anyone points out that their idea isn’t good.
You asked the question “should TJ’s Ultimate be redone?” People are answering you. Maybe read these responses the way you expect the developers to read yours.
It should most definitely have more hits. Also what I like least is that the opponent just flops forward. So anti climatic.
This was exactly my thoughts. The original ultimate looks ok, but the sound effects don’t really make it sound like the punches are even connecting.
seen tj ultmate i just don’t want to see sadira ultimate, cause IMo Tj ultmate has to be the most perfect in all way( screams’, hurt, hits sounds and opponent really broked and scared af and asking for pitty but i’m just dissapointed.
