On the flip side and unrelated… I just found out my Elite Cobtroller is still under my extended warranty. It’s literally starting to fall apart. 
That’s super weird. My base matchmaking has been slow, but I’ve managed to play sets with like 5 different people with no issues at all
Hey , even if your Elite controller is out of warranty you can still get it replaced for free. I’ve done it twice. Coincidentally Im shipping mine off today to the return center in McAllen TX. They have a program called the “make it right program”. You pay the shipping to get it there and they send you a replacement.
Go to the Xbox customer repair and service page. Call them, do not try to fill it out on line with your console warranty information, it wont work without a big hassle.
Call them and set up the return. Easy easy.
