Ah nice!! Glad Eddy’s back. One of my favorites. I know some see him as more of a button mash character, but I remember learning his move list from top to bottom in Tekken 3 and he’s always been a fun, stylish option.
It’d be nice if Christie made it instead, just to kind of shake things up a bit, but yeah, I’m guessing she’s DLC if she shows up at all, which is fine. Just so long as one of these characters makes it in, I’m happy.
Now bring back Lei plz! Oh and Zafina too, though apparently she’s dead / gone, etc.
Im still waiting on Armor King and if anyone says hes dead there is a second Armor King and story of Armor King is not complete so im still waiting for him to be in Tekken 7.

Considering that King has one of the biggest loose ends in the Tekken story as of now, I’d say he has a decent chance of getting in the game.

It was revealed that it was a ps4 and xb1 title on the unreal4 engine showcase trailer that had to be edit. So we had already known it was a multiplatform game.
I’m not liking your post because I agree with you. I’m liking it because you spirit dies a lil everytime a guest char is announced for a fighting game lol

Who would they get for guests, though? Another SF character seems unlikely.
Nah. I think next guest character will be Maxi from SC or others.
Omg a soul calibur character???
I’d be over hyper-ventilated

I would have hoped for Ivy or Zwei if it were to be a Soul Calibur character, but they both have very elaborate moves and reach which Tekken is just not suited for. So it would much likely be someone with shorter reach, such as Maxi.
I don’t care about Maxi though.
Scorpion from MK or Spawn ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
How do you think Tekken would handle Soul Calibur’s ABC controls? Not only that, what about Soul Calibur’s cool parry stuff? Would they just give Maxi a Soul Calibur control layout or work around the Tekken control layout?
I hope these other guest characters come from other fighting game franchises like Virtua Fighter or Dead or Alive. If not though, I hope one of them is Sagat.
Well, Yoshimitsu already travels between these games. How do his controls change?
If there’s even the slightest chance a KI character comes as a guest, I’ll be willing to pick up this game franchise again.
They change more than you might expect.
Soul Calibur’s buttons are set up in this order
(A)(B)(K)
(G)
A stands for horizontal moves, B stands for vertical moves, and K obviously stands for kicks. They have to make his moveset accordingly.
Soul Calibur had to work with these buttons when they put in Heihachi and Devil Jin. But if I recall correctly, most things stayed the same and only some changes were made. Mostly the kicks. The biggest change from this I felt was Devil Jin’s 10-hit combo.
This is how Tekken’s buttons are set up.
(LP)(RP)
(LK)(RK)
I’m guessing you can tell what those are and the difference already. Soul Calibur never has to worry about left-side and right-side controls like Tekken does. This change leaves Tekken haing more options when it comes to making moves and strings.
Tekken Yoshimitsu has more options and some changes due to this as well. Have you ever noticed how the Tekken Yoshimitsu is left-handed and the Soul Calibur one is right-handed? That left-handedness applies to this moveset as well. I believe Yoshimitsu also has another stance and can even put his sword away.
