Taunting & Tea-bagging

I’ll be honest, I have no problem with either. My friends and I tea-bag each other all the time at the end of every KI match. It’s practically mandatory. Taunting too. Don’t know… just find it really funny whether I’m doing it too someone,or someone is doing it to me…

Man the more I type, the more I realize that what I’m typing can be totally taken out of context if it wasn’t on the KI forum lol

< creeps back into his pee-pee soaked heck hole >

Honestly tea-bagging is rude the only times I’ve done it is if the player has done it to me or has been an a-s-s h**e throughout the match.

Doing it to your friends is fine…there is an understanding there…but online to a stranger, and opponent…that’s just not cool

this topic isn’t about doing it to your friends…its about how you treat others you do not know

Yeah, teabagging is a lot like wrestling. You can do it with your friends and have a good laugh, but the moment you try to do it to some stranger on the street, it becomes assault.

Ahhh, that was a long day in the gallows…

That’s exactly how I handle it too.
Plus I think t-bagging looks stupid. Taunts at least have a cool animation.

I’m with you on this too lol

Taunting and tea-bagging has pretty much completely turned me away from playing KI online except with friends and people I know. It just really irritates me to be disrespected like that when I show the utmost respect to my opponents.

In genuinely sorry to hear that - I find most of the people I run into online are of a very good nature and absolutely fun to play with. And yes, I am talking about strangers. Sure, you’re going to run into a few bad apples, but that’s no reason to stop having fun,IMO. Life isn’t fair - hiding under a rock (even with friends) is no way to live.

Yeah I can understand your view point, but like I said I just find it funny. Makes me chuckle every time, whether it’s online or off. I never mean to be condescending or jerky about it when I do it, nor do I take offense even if others are doing it for negative gain on me…

It’s just a game to me I guess. I look at it the same way I look at guys at my work razzing one another for showing up to the construction site in something other then a pick-up truck. Sure they can get pretty mean about it, but you let it slide, laugh it off, and then give it back to them as good as you got it lol

But I guess I’m the exception to the rule. And I DO agree that if the majority of people online dislike it, and see it as unsportsman-like, then it probably shouldn’t be done.

Either way, anytime anyone on here sees me online you have my express permission to tea bag me! lol

… Again if this wasn’t a forum board about KI this conversation would actually be rather disturbing lol

Well unfortunately just one bad apple is all it takes to ruin it all, so instead of always getting irritated I’ve given up on playing KI online.

@JetstreamDan

…and that’s where you and I disagree. Just because there’s 1 bad apple in the tree, it doesn’t mean the entire tree is bad. There’s still plenty of great apples!

The 1 bad apple has just left a bad taste in your mouth - that’s what you’re experiencing. Just wait a bit and that sour taste will go away - then you can try another and enjoy the wholesome juices and nutrients the other apples have to offer you. :apple: :green_apple:

And that’s where we disagree yet again. One bad apple ruins the whole tree for me. I run into that one bad apple, become frustrated, and move on to eventually find another one making online completely unenjoyable.

I hope you don’t use that line of thinking in life - because if you do, you’ll never be happy and, even worse, you’ll be alone. The glass is half full (of apple juice), not half empty! If you have to, fake it 'till you make it. A company that makes apple-sauce isn’t going to cut down an entire tree just because it has 1 bad apple in it - it’s not productive! Think of it like this: if Xbox Live lived by your ideology, XBL would’ve closed down years ago! No offense, but your ideology is simply not practical and is guaranteed to fail. You’ve already proven that by giving up. I, for 1, don’t like to give up. I keep on moving forward.

Here’s another example: I’m a teacher of young children. As such, I often sing children’s songs with them. 1 of my personal favorites is a song called “Pete the Cat” because it teaches an invaluable lesson - and not just in terms of counting and math - it also teaches children about how to stay positive despite how bad the outlook may be. Just watch and listen and you’ll see what I mean:

The world is a cruel place and that IS a fact - which is why there’s no avoiding it. It’s how you deal with it, however, that counts. And although I respect your opinion, I’m here to tell you that it’s simply wrong. You’re preventing yourself from maximizing the amount of potential fun you could be having when there’s absolutely no need to…

If Pete was a little bit more proactive, he probably could have found the first button after it fell off, and repaired his shirt. That might have even prevented the other buttons from popping off later on. Of course, that wouldn’t have had the valuable lesson about basic subtraction. Also, the art makes Pete look really depressed, so I don’t want to judge him for his lack of motivation, but I feel like his situation could have been resolved without resorting to stoic acceptance that he’s unable to intervene in his own fate.

Or, to bring it back around to KI, while I agree with JetstreamDan that playing with people who are disrespectful isn’t a pleasant experience, there has to be a solution that’s better than not enjoying the game because the rude behaviour makes it less fun, or not enjoying the game because you’re not playing it at all.

So, to that end, anyone who wants to hit me up on Xbox live is welcome to do so. My actual gamertag is PiercedMonk – had trouble logging in to these forums so I had to create a second account – and I’d be happy to go a few matches with anyone who wants to play against other humans but isn’t interested in being disrespectful about it. Fair warning though, I am terrible at the game, so you might not get much of a challenge.

Taunting doesn’t really bother me so much because it doesn’t seem as dickish as tea-bagging. Some taunts I think occur because the other player might be hyped as all hell about the fight.

Some things are impossible to find - even a button, GrinningSkull. Besides, what if he didn’t know how to repair his shirt? I, for 1, certainly don’t know how to sew. I also fail to see how preventing 1 button from falling off would prevent the others from falling off as well, since buttons are rather independent of 1 another.

I have to admit, I never really looked at him as being depressed - I always thought he looked “chill” in a way, but I can see where you’re coming from…

Also, it wasn’t stoic acceptance of fate. It was going with the flow.

Attitude makes all the difference when socializing, both online and off. A positive attitude will instantly make you more likeable whereas a rotten attitude, obviously will not. If you’re among the former and run into the latter, sure you could avoid both and that would solve your problem, but it creates a new one - you then have nobody to talk to. Wouldn’t you rather avoid the latter but still be able to talk to the former? That’s why I find blocking and reporting people who fall into the latter category to be effective. While I have had a bad experience with the 1 unscrupulous individual, I can prevent having that experience again in the future by blocking or reporting them. In doing that, I not only help myself, but XBL and everyone else in general. Do your part - clean up the riff-raff.

Unfortunately not everyone is as optimistic as you are, not everyone is a glass half full kind of person, everyone has a different mentality that doesn’t just change because they it want to. I don’t enjoy playing KI online cause of how many bad players I run into and no amount of good players makes me feel better about it. It really doesn’t matter what you think, that’s just how it is for me.

Really? Not even 100% of good players? :stuck_out_tongue:

Not exactly sure what you mean.
