I gotta call BS on that death battle. First off mini-games should not be used as canon. I won’t say for certain that Sub-Zero couldn’t break through Glacius armor, but a mini-game should not be used as evidence. Secondly how do rip the spine out of someone who can literally turn into water (a move which I’d also add has only ever been used on a dazed opponent). Not saying Sub-Zero can’t win, but not based on the information that’s been given.
Every one here needs to watch the death battle cast. You learn about the process behind how they decide on what to use.
If sub zero could teleport from glacius move how is it that glacius just couldn’t morph into his water form to evade the spine rip. We couldn’t see the action that indicates sub zero’s teleport if he can teleport that quickly for the sake of the death battle it stands that glacius could morph to evade the spine rip. Not saying that sub zero couldn’t possibly defeat glacius but this seemed kind of lame ending especially after Sub Zero teleported away but at the end of the day it entertainment and it is always nice to see killer instinct in other places.
The animation is not why they win. The animation is supposed to be a fun interpretation of the research. Why they one in the animation is not supposed to be the only way the fight could have gone down. They decide a winner in the research before they even start writing the script for the fight.
I know they do research I understand the point of the animation. All I was saying it could have worked the other way. I wasn’t saying that no thought was put into it
