So lag cheaters are a thing on this game, huh?

I saw a video and they said they’re going to add some automatic disconnect feature for people who lag spike I think.

Euh, take that cheaters, you’re on notice. You better stop cheating.

I dont get it, so if suddenly i lag spike because of my chilean mega internet… i inmediately lose the match? Sounds to me thats punishing foreigners because of cheaters (if i got it right)

When you’re playing people outside of your region far away, you usually won’t lag spike, your lag will be consistent.

Wow this is soo true and i’m sick of it!!! The worst part about it is that I will make a report file a complaint and the person is still lag switching. And it really sucks because if you block the person for lag switching you will still get a match with them over and over again!!

Well the reason for that is to prevent abuse - early in the game’s life, players would unjustly block all of the best players that beat them in ranked so they wouldn’t have to fight them again, making it significantly easier to boost to the top of the leaderboards. So they removed it.

The good news is that if they really are lag-switching, and you report them, they WILL get banned from XBL.

Yeah, not to suggest that there is no lag switching, but I think people encounter a lot more lag that they THINK is lag switching than they encounter actual lag switching. There’s a number of reasons why this is - including that you notice lag the most when it negatively effects you and you tend to ignore lag that is either working for you or neutral.

There are people who exploit lagging in every game that has online connectivity.
