I dont know how he is on godlike, but without buffs on normal and challenging my method of beating him is overwhelming him with full offense, Riptor and Cinder work really well here…
I’ve pretty high guardians and decent sized consumables but he just goes berserk. I know that’s the idea. I’ve done the prep, played the long and the short game but it’s obvious it’s not happening.
When I was younger I’ve would of thrived on this challenge and frustration but I’m older now and it’s beyond me.
Something that helps is giving your entire team the shadow lords buff. You get it for beating Gargos. Grind for them from normal then go hard in challenging or Godlike.
I got wrecked on my first attempt lol.

Ok guys I finally beat Gargos here on my 3rd attempt and it was too close man! I nearly had a heart attack nad was prepared to throw my fight stick through the window if he cheated me once again! lol
I got lucky this time and the first DEBUFF was Fang of Gargos! So that was a relief. He ended up having Heart of Gargos in the final battle.
He destroyed my first character OMEN so I thought o crap Im doomed again!
I got him down to resurrection and about 15% health with my 2nd Shago.
SO then it left my scrubby ole Sabrewulf!
It came down to both of us in Danger with about 5% health and some how I lucked out and got the win.
Unfortunately the game did not save all my earning from the boss battle once I went into new game +. It did unlock Astral plane though…so thats good!
I dont care to play this mode ever again… at least until new content is released.

I did not get any buff or items after beating him. No gems, no astral energy, none of the items that popped up and said I won saved into new game +. And i went straight into a new team/ game and played 3 matches.
So sick of all the bugs and crap. I was looking forward to buying a Killer guardian pack or something and all i had is what i came into the fight with… like 200 gems.
Those are the total gems you got from beating that run of Shadow Lords. The amount you get for beating gargos is closer to 300-400. I thought the same thing but read the end game screen again.

Look at the end screen again and it’ll say total earned. Theres a few things that at first glance look like they’ll mean something else but you have to slow it down.

Can someone explain me what happened here? (By the way, Rash had the Shadow Lord Relic equiped for the fight, and that fight was on Godlike mode).
Not sure what you’re asking me to look at.
Though thanks to this video I now know that Gargos’ st.MK and MP Oblivion act like powerline on hit.

It was pretty much when Gargos resurrected, his AI for some reason turned off or whatever, it blew my mind.
By the way, I’m glad that I somehow helped you with more knowledge of Gargos.
It took me a while to figure out that the gem count and the end was the total earned, and not just a reward. Gargos on average is about 350 gems. Each Omen is about 250 if you 2x the chest.
yeah it makes sense now… Im just glad I finally beat him! Dude it was so close i was ready to super rage if he beat me LOL. I got lucky to be honest. Just glad its over and I never have to go through that again!
His AI Didn’t turn off, however I would post this video in bug thread. The game treated it as it was over, he couldn’t break at all and wasn’t earning any meter to do his shadow counter shenanigans. He would flash 1 2 3 but no announcer and no breaker.
Finished another run through SL today and got owned by Gargos’ resurrecting ■■■. Again.

Now if I think about it… You’re right, things happened too fast when I was playing, and after I watched the video, that’s the only conclusion… I also got a bug with Shago’s Ultimate when Gargos had 49% Instinct or less (when he have not done the resurrection move) and got my input locked. I have to rescue that replay or re-create the situation.
