We should be beating the omen out of Shago rather than bickering. Go enjoy the 2.12 update and let PC be PC. It’s nearly end of the year, such a great way to close out 2015.
Yeah, but “timed exclusives” are a thing, really. Lots of things in the industry were exclusive at one point, then 2 years later they strike a deal and they get released elsewhere. The Shago skin was a nice timed exclusive, IMO. People got to sport him for fun for 2 years and now that his purpose has changed from skin to gameplay content, that timed exclusive is up.
True, there might be some unreasonable people who think they have some right to exclusivity (not you, clearly, since you state you are happy to have him available). But MS probably should be okay with ■■■■■■■ off this small, irrational population because they will make 100x more people happy by releasing it.
Yeah, I think it is. :\ Especially for something like a fighting game. You will be fighting against Shago because other people will be using him. You will have to study him in order to beat him. Having him locked away prevents new players from doing that.

I feel as he should be a character that is available in a someone reasonable sense. I do not believe he should be always available to purchase. I do believe in him being available enough to the point where he isn’t restriceted. Maybe during evo and the KI world cup each year. Maybe one for a month available for each season of the year?
Although it was WB’s fault for green-lighting a poorly-made port for sale, it was IG that made the port. I don’t think WB expected it to be as bad as it turned out.
True. But Shago with his own moveset is a different entity now. Just because people had an exclusive skin, now the character should be held hostage and be unavailable for everyone? No. It would be fair to give the original owners an exclusive costume for Shago, that would probebly be a fair exchange.
Also, they already did that by making KI not an exclusive. Because it’s better for the game. Just as making an even playing field for everyone whith no regard to how long you owned the game.
Yes. But I wouldn’t call it ‘1/20th of the games content’ though, probably there will be crazy Shago mains that will play exclusively him, for them it will be 100% of the game’s content. Not that it matters, because the principle of locking content itself is offensive to the future customers. Like, if I ordered a soup in the restaurant and found one hair in it, I would probably complain, even though the soup if perfectly edible.
For the skin, I agree completely. I bought a day one Live card to get the skin and I have no concerns whatsoever. But all of the promotional material for the Shago fund, and even now for the two week sale is “act now, it’s your only chance to get Shago!” So it’s not just that crazy fans will get the wrong idea it’s that the marketing for Shago is telling hem exactly that he will be unavailable. I don’t see it as quit so unreasonable to be upset by that. MS is digging a deeper hole if they want to make Shago broadly available later.
Anyway, since I’ve put myself in a corner arguing a position that I can sympathize with, but isn’t mine, about something that hasn’t happened yet, I’m going to give it a rest.
I believe that as a skin alone, Shadow Jago was perfectly fine to be exclusive and never offered again. I got him during the Community Fund, but only in the hopes of him becoming a unique character, as I wanf access to all characters in the game.
Now that he’s real, everyone has to have the ability to own and play him - but I feel the sporadic ability to purchase him is ok, and still makes him “special” without locking him away forever.
When Season 3 rolls around, I would expect a conveniently planned purchasing window for SJ.
Agreed. It’s unlike a business to scoff at something that would generate revenue.
Color 2 of the new shadow jago is bad, il like color 2 of shadow jago of season 1 (skin jago)

Really? I was actually considering buying a Day One Card for him, but I will trust you on this and wait a while longer.
I just heard the news about Shago. Man that just hacks me off. I spent good money/time/effort tracking down a day one card to unlock him, and now it means nothing? What’s the point in exclusivity if you’re just going to give it away to everybody later?? What about all those that won contests & such…what about them…
Nah, I’m just kidding. It’s nice to see everybody can enjoy him now…well except for color 10.

Depends on your definition of the word “later”. A half year later or longer can be quite a long time for some. Also, the fact that tournament organizer could ban him is another reason they had to do this.
I think you missed the “I’m just kidding” part. Everything prior to that in my post was complete BS.
