I would love this to be true but I don’t think they ever hinted on the idea…

Where did I say Rash wasn’t a beta? I said there hasn’t been a beta for Shadow Jago - which is one of your "common sense arguments that he is finished but there is a sinister conspiracy to confound the naive fan base. And yes I am implying the Rash beta wasn’t to collect statistical data. What useful data can they get out of a half finished character? It was a surprise for generating hype. As far as why take him away, use some common sense. The game launches in March. Are you suggesting they just drop each character (for free) as they finish them?

You know what you typed in your message. I read it, so have others. It isn’t a conspiracy, your aim is simply to diffuse perspectives that challenge the current state of this game. I know this tactic all too well. We could speak about accessories, fixing retro costumes, anything and you’ll find some way to make an excuse for these issues however “subjective” they may be.
The point of a beta test is to test unfinished characters. Yet you asking me am I suggesting they release every character for free as they release them? Are you seriously doing this to yourself right now?
SO ANYWAYS…Shadow Jago is coming soon. So, anyone HYPE yet? If he is coming out on thanksgiving week, I might indulge more in KI than my epic stuffed turkey cooking in the oven.

So, your crystal ball not only tells you whether or not Shadow Jago is finished, it also tells you my motivation for posting? That’s quite a trick (and also incredibly arrogant and presumptions). It couldn’t be that I have a difference of opinion. It’s that I’m “deflecting” as a “tactic.” For no conceivable purpose, but hey it fits your phony narrative better so why not run with it. It’s not that I actually think the retro costumes are okay. Nevermind that LIKING or DISLIKING the retro outfits is subjective (by the way, subjective doesn’t need to go in quotes… ever), but comparing them to the originals is actually quite objective. If you compare them trait by trait they are very close to the originals. But go to town. Make up whatever little fun story you want. Then please post it here. While you’re at it, consult your tea leaves and tell me if a tall dark stranger is about to come into my life.
I’m sorry I’m not on the bandwagon for running down the game. I just can’t jump on board chanting “fix this! It’s easy! I can’t believe they haven’t chased down my trivia yet! They must hate KI and it’s fans!” I guess I’m just not a good follower. Especially when people (like you) don’t have a clue what you are talking about. When people who have never made anything in their lives want to nitpick and criticize something that is ■■■■ good fun because of important cornerstones like hair physics and boob jiggle a feel like a voice of dissent is appropriate (or descent if you want to keep that lie going chuckle)
The Rash Beta was fan service. It was a gift. They weren’t testing anything with it. They called it a beta to indicate that Rash wasn’t finished yet. What data do you think they could actually collect? Win ratios? You’ve provided the best evidence for this yourself. Where are all the other betas? They didn’t need a beta for any S1 character, nor any of the S2 characters - unless you think they were “testing” TJ Combo by releasing him early. Frankly, I think that’s pretty naïve (to borrow your condescending term for anyone who doesn’t buy your made up story about Shadow Jago). So, one character in the roster needs beta “testing” but they can release all the others without it? Uh huh.

You’ve made a concerted effort on more than one occasion to derail just about anything I post on this forum. I’ve always found this amusing. Your premise in response to my post was “You don’t know how big the team is that is working on Shago, how much of their time is spent working on him versus their other responsibilities, what sort of technical challenges they are working on.” Obviously most of this is speculation, however some things can be attributed to common sense. Unless you have information to refute this claim besides your own speculation, how does that make your “opinion” any more valid?
In another topic you went out of your way to add in the fact that you’re grown and a married man, as if that added more credence to your opinion about what the tone and presentation of this game should be. You’re implying that people like me don’t know what I’m talking about yet clearly neither do you. Because you don’t know what I or people like myself have ever created and we are not inclined to provide as much information about ourselves here as you do.
I like how you conveniently left out the part where I said Killer Instinct has become my favorite fighting game though. The Rash beta was fan service right? You know this for a fact? Or would this be an act of you using the same common sense you stated cannot be applied to the Shadow Jago discussion? Or wait, is this an example of your own phony narrative you would like others to accept?
I don’t care what or who you choose to “follow” because it’s very convenient to try to flip the script and label something as a “bandwagon mentality” the moment it doesn’t fall in line with your own personal agenda. You’re helping nothing by making an excuse for every potential negative aspect this game might be suffering from.

I think they released early Rash as a preview to create hype for Season 3, which they succeeded. IG collects feedback from the forums so that would be the data they collected on Rash. A similar thing happened when TJ Combo was released before anyone else.
Back on topic to Shadow Jago, now we have a 2 month release window. It’s getting narrower at least. Hopefully something is mentioned soon on a release target ie “before December” or “December.”

It is not intended to be personal or to make you feel as though I am attacking you. I just have a tendency to argue on the internet, and I will readily admit I get carried away in the moment sometimes. This includes not letting things just drop. If we were together holding a conversation I’m sure I would communicate more plainly that it is not my intention to disparage you (I don’t have these problems in real life) - but it turns out good humor does not translate well into text. [/quote] My opinion is not more valid. Again, I have miscommunicated my point. I feel that it is unfair to offer criticism that isn’t supported by factual information. Any speculation on my part is also speculation and not better or worse than other people’s guesses. But it seems different to me because I am not using my speculation to criticize anyone’s work. This is my point.
You seem like a very philosophical guy. I’m sure you’ve heard or seen the David Foster Wallace commencement speech “This is water.” If not, it’s a fun thing to take a look at - and I think it in part explains my philosophy in this regard.

FYI, characters take time to build. The team was working on Rash before we started in earnest on Shago’s updates - there’s a schedule we follow for building things.
Still on track to launch him before year-end. He’s great and you’ll have him in your hands soon enough.

Really excited to finally have him, I do have one question about him, Im sure it wont come with his update, but will Shago be eventually added to the Shadow Lab? i totally wanna make a Shadow Shadow Jago, as redundant as it sounds lol
