Season 4/ new dlc

I can see a small character with a big armored puppet.
The puppet can be controled and use it as anchor to stop and zone the opponent. Can be used for ranged combos, dealing poor damage
The puppeter has high mobility but bad defense, deals low combo damage.
If both are close, you can use the puppet for linkers and the character for auto doubles, dealing better damage than with only one alone.

Overall it’s a mix between Kan-Ra and Gargos: uses his setups and his puppet to control space and deal ranged damage. His mobility its his best defense, his puppet can situationaly work as reversal. The puppet suffers damage and can be disabled, but recovers after a while.

Yeah, I can see it. Very Carl Clover-esque. I’d be down for something like that in KI!

Cut the crap with guest characters please, playing arbiter vs raam feels like microsoft’s attempt of smash bros. I dont feel like we need another season, just maintainance patches and missing stuff like stages and extra costumes. The ONLY character that is truly missing is eagle

So…KI, a game with 3 guests out of 26 playable characters, is in your eyes on the same level as smash, a game with 0 original playable characters.

Gotcha.

Things KI need for 2017 assuming season 4 is a thing:

Enough with the balance changes

I can see some people dropping KI due to the gameplay changes. You always have to deal with those changes through the seasons and you have to mind on your own about the new setups. People get used to a combo trait and then it suddenly changes so it hurts the way you fight your opponents and sometimes you miss your combos and get wrecked. Thats why i dont like the idea of a bunch of new characters for a next year season. The devs would have to find out how to pre balance those new characters before they get introduced to the game. Beta test should solve this. We should get a total of 4 characters or slightly 6 and leave all the rest of the budget for what really matters.

##6 new stages
The lack of stages and the stage sharing was something really underwhelming. Not to say of that thing of custom theme music menu. I understand that it was done for the sake of Shadow Lords. Whatever, there’s no turning back at this point. 3 new stages that were missing from this current season and 3 completely new from season 4 would solve many problems like multiple characters sharing a lot of stages.

##Nostalgia factor - Ultimate Combo / No Mercy
KI is a nostalgic game period. If this budget project has become popular and successful its due to what it is and what it was. It was awesome beat the crap out of my parents and friends on SNES. Since then, there was a 20 years hiatus. I couldnt have the N64 at the time because it was too expensive lol
The real talk here is about ultimate combo and no mercy. No matter what, the KI experience aren’t complete if you cant finish your opponent in that very same game. Ultra combos get old quickly. But finishing moves would bring a long new fresh air for KI through all the time of 2017.

##Comedy and goofiness a.k.a. Humiliation
You know that KI always had this kind of stuff. And how we translate this to a fighting game? Dance or die!

Shadow Lords becoming a dynamic mode

I think Shadow Lords could be a blast if there was these kind of features like you could team up with your friends or whatever you want to face the mode against Gargos. Tag team co-op multiplayer would make KI even more strong and bigger. The community shall expand a lot if every kind of gamer could play that mode online helping each other to beat Shadow Lords.

Announcer telling the name of your opponent through single player

Make the announcer even more interactive at the survival mode.

It will if they keep adding them, 3 is more than enough for a fighting game, i want eagle and the stages, thats all, but hey… if you like guest characters thats cool for you, im throwing my opinion here

There are so many things that need attention in this current mode that to add to a flawed engine would be odd IMO

The smart decision is to start a new ki with 20 characters ultimates intact,
and announce for 2018 release,

And maybe add about 3-4 characters to this one

I’m with you man. This is just MY opinion of course, but I could do without any guests in the game. I feel like rash and rash alone would have been fine as far as guests. However if it means more KI I’ll take whatever I can get, I just would rather not have anymore guests if there’s a season 4 or if they just add characters and stages and such.

1 original character: Mr.Game & Watch

Actually mr game and watch isn’t an original charecter but a very very old mascot for a very very old portable Nintendo game system.

For me, as long as said guest characters fit archetypes the roster doesn’t have, I honestly don’t mind them all that much.

Example:
Arbiter -Space Gladiator
Rash - 4th wall breaking cartoon character, who originated from a beat em’ up
RAAM - Generic General who’s always p’oed all the time.

Yes having brand new characters to represent those would’ve also worked, but its kinda the same reason I didn’t get too upset that serial killers ended up in MKX. They’re all gruesome psychopaths, so why does one in a hockey mask make a difference? Personally I’d say 4 would be the maximum limit in terms of guests, because you never want to go overboard on the idea. (Which means Joanna Dark would be my prediction for said last guest character, since she fits the Spy archetype)

i want just killer instinct 2

use unreal engine4.

now, ki all season design is bad. face , animation graphics is bad , really bad Comparison with other fight game ( street fighter5, mortalcombat , guilty gear .. etc )

I don’t know about that. It certainly still looks better than KOF XIV at least. Plus the models don’t have some of the strange proportion/clipping issues that make SFV look so silly at times.

hey …KOF XIV is top of bad fightgame… except KOF XIV.

Ken’s bouncing banana hair…

Thank god nothing like that ever made into KI.

I want a unified arcade mode, story season 1, season 2 rivals and shadow lords, merged into a single experience, refined and integrated

Journey Mode for Season 4 perhaps?

I’m not sure if I’d want another SEASON per se, but I’d certainly buy stages for Eyedol, Mira, Rash and Gargos (a less simplistic one) in a blink of an eye.

Also, I’d appreciate Arcade Mode, now that we have all the bosses. I’d be happy with something like MKX though, just a ladder with a couple of nice illustrations in the end. Nothing too elaborate.

(Also fixes for the bad-looking retros and that godawful ARIA stage finisher)
