I have been playing a lot of Darli lately so I would like to try something new.
I also am waiting for Kazuki but will play a bit of Genjuro and Basara this month just to get through. Of course I don’t expect to win with Basara but at least I hope to learn something.
I got a chance to play a couple of sessions with my brother and I decided to work on Rimururu. Really interesting gameplay. Took me a while to sort some things out but I’m getting the hang of it.
We also finally had a chance to just kind of investigate some of the core mechanics and basic gameplay interactions. It’s a surprisingly deep game and breaks some conventions - for example there are a number of moves that appear unsafe on hit. Further, the ability to cancel out of unsafe moves (like blocked jump in attempts) into dodge really mixes things up.
Had a lot of fun and the performance (while not amazing) is definitely passable.

I understand you. I get bored if I keep playing just one character. Right now I maining Darli, Nakoruru, Shiki and Shizumaru. Also trying to get into Genjuro. He’s really an amazing character.
To me Basara and Rimururu are the fun version of Wu Ruixiang. I like her concept but I don’t really like her moves and how they look. I prefer Rimururu and Basara over her. Originally I started to play her and Earthquake but I stayed with Earthquake in the end. Even with the buffs I am not going back to Ruixiang soon. She is too linear and her specials don’t look appealing visually to me either.
Yeah, I agree with you. I’d define her as a good idea bad implemented. Maybe she was a last hour character, so they didn’t put much work on her. Her parry animation is horrible.
One of my all-time favorite ninja demons is Shijima from Ninja scroll. Just for this reason I dig Basara. He also has a long range weapon, can teleport or vanish and has that devilish blue purple color.

Hanzo might be one of the strongest in the game now…his buffs are amazing. So much easier to combo into WFT. Finally his kicks are useful.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Kazuki is very similar to a shoto in terms of general gameplay. The main differences between him and Haohmaru are Heavy Slashes that are a bit difficult to land, and the charges he builds to buff his special moves. You’ll probably like him if you’re into shoto gameplay (who really isn’t), but I wouldn’t be looking towards him if you’re looking for an “interesting” mechanic.

i prefer XBOX but I had to get the PS4 version too because, well, I’m in Japan so no choice there 
Geoff The Hero has many tournaments online or at least is promoting a lot of them. But sadly for some of you/us it’s on PS4.

Do you believe I’ve played a nice set with a japanese last week? Surprisingly, we got decent connection. It’s cool to bump into japanese people playing on Xbox.
