Requesting dev response about bug that reverses inputs

Definitely a hugely important update, considering SCR is this weekend and it would be a shame if the input bug was going to impact a high-profile offline tournament.

Hopefully all the issues are gone, thanks!

I definitely felt it this weekend at Kombo Klash Netherlands so to be honest it already kind of has.

Yeah. :disappointed: Well, hopefully it doesn’t influence any more, and hopefully they caught all the cases where it was a problem.

They’ve not said anything about actual blocking so I’ve asked for clarification, if they’ve left that then Spinal is still wrecked.

Edit: I’ve checked a day it’s still messed up for blocking so yeah, looks like there will be problems at SCR and other events (including this weekend’s online EU tournament on Sunday).

Got my hopes up that it was fixed only to play and see that it’s not;( So let me get this right and someone correct me if I’m wrong but now is fulgore the only one that can not auto correct if you cross under a character and that was implemented to keep me from doing a DP? Could this be the reason for the cross up bug? Seems like you just make his recovery a little bit longer off of a blade dash and not hurt the character by singling him out and taking away his auto correct

The auto correct is only for pip cancels, you should be fine in other situations

Yup - clearly there are still more things to chase down. Kraig has mentioned that more fixes are coming in 3.5. Appreciate your patience as the team at IG keeps working towards making things right!

If they’re taking the time to read the posts, why would they care who they come from? I’m trying to picture Kraig or Rukari or someone else looking at a post and saying ā€œwell, I took the time to read it and I have the answer, but I’m not going to provide that answer even though nothing prevents me from doing so because this poster is only somewhat generous in their contributions to the forums and not extremely generous.ā€ Yeah, not seeing it.

Why does that sound logical to you?

Sorry, never mind. It’s off topic anyways. Just saying I don’t see why you think they’d treat us this way given how responsive and open to our opinions they’ve always been in the past, but again, not looking to start a debate on that here given that it’s not germane to the topic at hand.

I say that because I too read the majority of the posts and from the looks of it the status of the bug and its timeline for a fix wasn’t answered at all. despite the fact people were asking for weeks about when it’s gonna get fixed with no answers to be found.

I know the post I wrote seems kinda, ā€œwhoa as meā€, and everyone else. that really wasn’t my intent. it was more of a call out of blantant favoritism. to be honest I think it was crazy lcd and infil that posted the same question on the same day. just seems kinda like the developers pet if u ask me.

I don’t think it’s ā€œwhoa is meā€ to bring up an issue with the game that needs fixing, especially if the devs haven’t responded with verbal confirmation that they’re in fact aware of and working on it.

However, I think it’s way too big a leap to assume that the only reason why they might not address an issue on the boards is because some board member with enough super secret ultracombo web points hasn’t sent up the flare of importance to draw them here.

These guys talk to everyone, not just infil or LCD and I say that because I’ve been here since day one and I’ve seen it. You might think I’m white knighting or whatever, but I’m just giving you my first hand experience. If yours has been different, then so be it. I’ve never been to a site where the actual game’s makers and company reps are as responsive as they are on this site. Not even close.

At the same time, I also realize and accept the fact that they all have jobs to do and they can’t just sit around all day checking threads and responding to every question or every @devs mention. Maybe they don’t hit as many as you’d like, and maybe they could be a little more communicative as it pertains to the worst bugs, but I fail to see how any of that equates to them only bothering to listen to certain fans. Anecdotal evidence aside, that theory’s s bit out there and if I were a dev, I’d say a tad bit insulting as well.

ya they do have people reading threads all the time. remember when the level 4 Ender effects pisssssed everyone off. It took big name players to speak up before they even considered a toggle.

am I great full they provided a place to rub elbows with players and devs a like? yes I am. I’m also great full the earths atmosphere is 20 percent oxygen. it is what it is.

if you think everyone on earth is treated equally I have some dirt to sell you. if you think a regular poster has as much clout as a twitch streamer with 1000’s of viewers I have more dirt with a price tag as well

I dunno, maybe I remember that differently. I recall them listening to a large public outcry, not one or two influential posters. God, I remember the stream exploding after they showed off the level 4 ender. I remember the threads chocked full of people who sounded like they set their hair on fire. I think that’s more of what did it than a few dudes.

Let me put it to you another way: If the vast majority of people on here said ā€œwe love the new level 4 Endersā€ and two or three twitch streamers said ā€œnah we hate that.ā€ Do you think they’d side with the few streamers or overwhelming public sentiment? If you think it’s the former, then fine. We’ll agree to disagree.

Okay? So you’re grateful but… Not really?

Not sure I said anything close to that. It’s more my assumption that they listen to everyone. No I don’t think they weigh all of the feedback they receive equally, nor should they, because I don’t think there’s any way that all feedback could be equal in terms of quality or likely representation of a prevailing sentiment.

But you seem to have this conspiracy theory that they don’t listen to anyone but their own little developers pets and as I said before, I think that is a categorically false statement. I’d also add irresponsible as well.

Again, not my point. I’m just saying that I don’t think they play favorites to such as an extent as to completely ignore regular fans in favor of a small, but influential minority. I’m sure they do pay attention to the streamers and they should. But you seem to think that the little guy is getting lost in the shuffle as a result and I’m telling you that as long as I’ve been here, I’ve never ever found that to be the case.

Sorry, won’t post about this again. Don’t mean to derail the thread. If you have more thoughts on it, feel free to PM me and we can talk about it a bit more if you’d like.

Ahem

ya man. it was nice reading about your experiences and views. I really mean that too.

I try to use criticism as a strength and be a better version of myself tomorrow and the days that follow. there’s value in everyone’s opinions. thanks for challenging my thought process instead of me mindlessly droning on. :heart:ļø
