Well I would expect a PD remake to be based more around the style of the first game. I would be extremely excited for a new Perfect Dark despite how lackluster PD0 was. I have high hopes for a return to Rare’s blending of the FPS genre with the adventure/puzzle genre.
And I didn’t like C L&R’s multiplayer at all. Sure, it was fun for its time, but it was extremely imbalanced and was essentially just a Battlefield Lite.
Shadow Maya actually was one of the options Adam mentioned a while back, along with Shadow Kim Wu.

It seems like this leak backs onto another leak regarding Microsoft wanting to rush a Conker game out the door? That leak turned out to be some uni student’s assignment to “go viral”.
Did we have this argument before? In a developer interview long ago, I’m pretty sure with Isgreen and I’m pretty sure on an 8BBD, I recall it being noted that stages cost more than characters.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the interview was permanently archived anywhere, so I can’t drag it out to resolve this. (If a dev wants to comment on this, though, since they were happy to make that info public before, then that’d be cool.)
It’s nice to get strong evidence that this leak is fake, but it leaves me wondering what the point of clamping down on actual leaks is.
Wait, Shorchid is a worse idea than any other possible shadow character? Geez, I find the idea that Shago is “unique” (he’s derivative as all ■■■■-off) but that other shadow characters are “clones” to be off-base as is, but I can at least make some sense of how someone would rationalize that to themselves internally. But the hate for Shorchid in particular is leaving me with little room to sympathize with you guys.

The devs specifically talked about wanting to get a female shadow character going.
Shadow characters in general seemed like a good idea for the tournament funds since they’re not as resource-intensive as new characters to make and they can allow an interesting alternative take on an existing character. Over in MKX they raised tournament money by selling a ■■■■■■■ skin, ffs, so in principle we’re doing well getting a functionally distinct character as a thankyou for chipping in to the fund. Just putting out a shadow character a year would’ve been a comfortable way to support competitive KI, which is after all the point of the fund.
What I think the devs might not have expected was how people would say “NO, Shago is a highly unique and innovative character concept, more shadow characters would be ■■■■■■ clones,” and then follow it up with demands for long-requested features, since those diehards saw the fund as basically Kickstarter for KI features. It’s a mismatch of intentions that probably makes it difficult to be the guy at MS Studios trying to set up a new fund right now.
Shago is enough for shadow characters. We’re good.
No you need to understand what is the difference between game for the game and game for the sales. KI x MK hasn’t happen and hopefully not because it would be another effort of MK to take advantage of somenting better of itself. Because KI is a better game. MK and Tekken are the reasons why fighting games were dead for so long.because they were supposed to be the epitomy of fighting games , but when a new player was giving a try to the fg category through these games he quitted because the gameplay is tragic and silly.
The whole Fulgore for KP3 really gave it away that this is fake. It’s unlikely that Microsoft would let one of their characters on a PS4 game.
Shadow Orchid? It has to be a joke. That really would be a “cheap and broken” character for sure. Please, stop of guest and shadow characters. Eyedol. Eyedol. Eyedol.

The gory ultimates is where I’ve firmly drawn my line in the sand and say it’s fake. I wouldn’t mind 'em, but I’m fairly sure @TempusChaoti has said several times that gore was never part of their design plan.
Also: Twenty stages always being the plan? Pretty sure Double Helix planned to have a stage per character in Season 1, and Iron Galaxy loved up to that mantra for Season 2. It was announced very recently that Season 3 would be without all the stages, and that it was a tough choice to make in favor of the new modes, PC port, and Graphical update.
A lot of the stuff that actually makes sense on there is just reiterating things that was either told to us by developers or could be inferred. Things like “Expect more figures”, “characters take months to create”, “the digital version that’s been available for longer and has seen multiple content releases on multiple platforms has seen more revenue than that S1 disc we threw out towards the start of Season 2 on just the Xbox”, “various guest characters have been considered for various lengths of time. Some of them made it, some didn’t”, “sh*t gets expensive”…

Most of the things listed sound believable.
This makes me think of those facebook posts where they have a huge list of “lifehacks” where 99% of them are just basic no sh*t stuff, and then they throw one crazy one into the mix just to see if people will believe it.
One of the biggest ones I can remember was a list of several things you can do with hydrogen peroxide…had a list of some pretty common stuff, then one suggestion was to dump a bottle in a bath and take a bath in the stuff. I know the typical 3% probably wouldn’t do much, but IIRC they were suggesting 35%…which is well enough to give you chemical burns. Honestly I wouldn’t even try it with 3%.
He didn’t dare you to lock the thread he said he didn’t care IF it was locked, not caring about the outcome and daring the other party into the outcome are two completely different things.
The guy is clearly shaken up by the threat and I have to admit this is not the first time an admin or moderator has threatened a ban based on someone’s curiosity. I’m honestly starting to re-evaluate if this is the sort of forum I want to frequent, given the “keep a lid on it” attitude of MS in regards to recent events.
The guy was curious regarding the “leak” he clearly meant no harm by posting as his later posts to you showed. I would have thought the passion coming from the guy in regards to Eyedol would be enough to prove he’s not some hater or nostalgia hound. Just a fan of Eyedol and clearly hoping this was fake.
I think it’s maybe time to update the forum guidelines to include leaks instead of summoning TOU every time this happens.
