Iâm really not a fan of this argument to be honest. Iâm all for equality and being sensitive to others and all that jazz but letâs be real here; things are going the opposite meaning things that werenât accepted by society or wrong just 15 or 20 years ago are now becoming okay or fine. Just like being able to say the F-word in PG13 movies, or seeing half naked woman demo new Victoria Secret underwear and bras on TV, celebritys showing up to a red carpet event on tv with an underboob dress. Do I even need to bring up the whole free the nipple movement?
Iâm glad Microsoft has a moral compass but is giving us proper retro costumes at the expense of Orchidâs butt showing really the end of the world especially considering Sadiraâs booty is showing in all its glory? I mean I can go to my local family beach and see all the woman butts hanging out but thatâs okay I guess.
Personally I just donât see how putting a video game character in a bikini costume is interpreted as oversexualization or offensive⊠Woman wear Bikinis in real life donât they? Woman expose their cleavage and breasts in real life donât they? Men walk around without their shirts off donât they?
I dunno man, I just think the idea of not doing cool looking costumes because of this argument is kind of silly. If I was a Capcom guy I would literally spend all my time in their games because they do it right. I could see if KI was rated E or something but itâs technically rated T-M right now which in reality means they could do anything they want with suggested themes.

I wish I could use Orchidâs retro but it just looks terrible. If they were dead set on not giving KI2 Orchid then at least do the first one right.

lol, Iron Galaxy isnât Capcom, we wonât get skins we will get colors. 
I donât think anyone disagrees on that, itâs just that we disagree on what is cool looking. Iâm actively dissuaded from playing games because I donât want to look at butt floss all day. I completely agree with @NitricZenith on this. The KI2 orchid costume is awful, and pointless and only exists to show digital â â â . I donât want it - not because Iâm such a prude I canât deal with â â â , but because itâs dumb. It doesnât look cool, it doesnât make the character look cool, it doesnât make even a shred of sense. Thereâs no reason for it.
As far as MSâs design choices - itâs never the wrong time to make good decisions in my opinion. Orchidâs default KI 2013 outfit is sexy. Sheâs already got unrealistic Barbie proportions. If you want to play a fighting game featuring sex dolls, that game is published by Tecmo and you should go to town.
Thereâs a LOT of very cool stuff that they might do with KI character costumes. I really hope they donât waste their time pandering with stupid swimsuits and nonsense.

Thatâs your opinion, it doesnât matter what you think of it because it is what it is. If they went into the game with the intent of doing the classic costumes, then they should of stuck to that. Itâs not about seeing digital butt, itâs about preserving what the classic costume wereâŠnot what they should be.

This is rarely (if ever) a productive line of thinking. We arenât talking about tax policy here, we are talking about alternate costumes. Thereâs nothing to discuss other than opinion.
Orchid has her KI1 Retro. The idea that itâs not ârealâ because itâs not her KI2 retro is not logical and complaints that her boots are too high are quibbles about execution. The one and only reason people want her KI2 costume instead is digital â â â . This isnât an historical preservation society - and you can get the KI2 arcade game to play as part of the Ultra package. Enjoy the true retro any time you want. If you are really all bent on preserving the historical record of the retro costumes then Orchid should be a blip and you should only want to talk about Thunder.

False. I just personally just want things to be done correctly. Purposefully mismatching the two outfits for the sake of it is not okay. Itâs like giving spinal clothes on his retroâŠthank goodness they didnât.
Iâve fought hard for thisâŠThunder doesnât even have a retro costume as far as Iâm concerned. They didnât even make change his model like they did for jago to make him more lean looking from the first game.

You seem to be stuck on Orchidâs thong. Iâve moved completely past it as Iâve stated multiple times now thatâs not why myself and others wanât this costume. You think itâs ugly great, tell Microsoft to not tell us they are giving us classic/retro costumes and then not do it.
âŠand youâre right this thread is about new costumesâŠbut we havenât had any added to the game since the launch of S1. The Retro costumes werenât even done right because of their problems with showing skinâŠso how in the world can people come to these forums and suggest new costumes to be added to the game (such as the OP has done) if all creative freedom is thrown out the window because of said topic.
But LCD you need to stop using hyperbole about stuff. This is patently not true. They GAVE US a classic retro costume for Orchid. Itâs simply untrue to say they didnât.
In the real world, every day, millions of women get up and dress themselves in interesting and creative ways - many incredibly sexy, without wearing bathing suits down the street. âCreative freedomâ is not the same as âshowing lots of skin.â Itâs a crutch. Itâs like a high school writer using the F-bomb every three lines in his screenplay. Thatâs not creative freedom, thatâs just lame. Mayaâs default outfit in KI is fantastic. Itâs creative, itâs appealing and it actually develops the character. If they were restricted to making her âJungle Jane, warrior princessâ like she was in KI2 then I think their creative freedom would be a lot more limited.
