Oh yes, I’m not saying it shouldn’t be removed. I’m just exploring tech possibilities for the heck of it.
The possibilities are so… Evil
Hisako has always been able to do all strengths and keep the combo going in instinct since day 1. Since day 1, lights and mediums don’t cross up and and mediums and heavies will cross up.
- you can make the medium cross up or not depending how fast you do the input.
Hisako could continue to combo after medium and heavy air ORZ, but she had to do grounded manuals and continue the combo on the ground. If she wanted to do 10 air ORZs in a row, they all had to be the light version (well, the first 9 had to be). You could not combo another air ORZ after M/H air ORZ in the last patch.
Well ■■■■, I guess I need to train with some Hisako again before the World Cup. Yea she needed a heavy manual after the med or heavy air ORYZ to continue to into another one. Now being able to switch between all 3 strengths without being grounded is pretty godlike for baiting lockouts then finishing it up on the ground since they barely do any damage but have so many frames that you burn your counter breaker/lock out time doing them.
Side note, the developers said during her reveal stream there are some set ups to continue using her wall jump; til this day I haven’t really figured out how to incorporate that during a combo or seen anyone else do it either. Have you figured that out yourself by any chance?
Word. It’s definitely a boon to her instinct combos. Going to continue to play with it and if I discover anything halfway interesting, I’ll post up on Youtube.
Well, here’s something terrible. Since Riptor now goes into a manual version of her standing HP target combo instead of doing one manual into a primal linker, it’s a heck of a lot easier to break. Not only that, but now when I start a combo with a linker, then a manual, then hit a heavy button, nothing happens. It is apparently now impossible to perform a primal linker after a manual. Great. IMO, there was nothing wrong with how Riptor’s linkers worked in the past. Now her combo variety has just been killed.
It’s not a lot easier to break, it’s unbreakable, read the conversation a few posts up.
Oh. Well, then yeah. Still fix that. Also, same thing with the inability to perform a primal linker after any manual anymore.
Quite an interesting update
Actually, I just checked. It’s totally breakable, so my issue still stands.
