Official KI Bug Reporting Thread Season 3

PC seems to work fine for me, the only issue I had was the slight issue of KI losing my progress online. All of the matches I did, getting myself to the last part of Gold tier, everything, gone. has anyone else had that issue? I really don’t want to restart the whole ■■■■ thing.

Finally, I got a fix for my problem. Hope it will help somebody. Just set your desktop resolution to 1280x720 and launch KI, after that you can revert it back.

As you know Charlieboy, I main Sadira and I’m getting a lot of stuff like this. It’s caused by Negative Edge. You’re not the only person having issues. CStyles has an entire thread about the wackiness going on.

And for the love of all that is holy, allow me to get out of an exhibition match if my opponent wants to go to character select. I pressed Rematch, I don’t wanted to wait for my opponent to try every single character on the roster. The correct move right now is to wait until they make a choice, which means that both sides sit around waiting for the other.

Solution: Show my choice, and if we don’t agree, then wait until we do. Then I can either agree on Character Select, or go to Main Menu.

Also confirming that Season 1 mural doesn’t work. Bought season 3 complete edition with PC launch on 29/03/2016, completed all of Season 1 today, no achievement. I would really REALLY like that banner!

Tons of issues reported, and they have stated they are aware of issues and working on many. If you want a direct response, hit the IG website and grab the email address there. I had my question responded to directly, and within 15 minutes of sending. And the answer was basically “yes, we are aware, and we are working on a fix but no ETA.”

You have to remember that IG is a smaller company, and don’t have the army of bug crush developers that EA or Activition have on their titles. One thing I’ve found with IG over the last season is they listen, and while the fixes may not be immediate (just because it fixes one issue, doesn’t mean a bug hammer won’t break something else, so it needs to be tested), they do get to fixing them all eventually.

We live in a time where we all demand instant gratification, and IG just isn’t big enough to realistically offer that. And I’m not saying 3 days isn’t enough time for at least a “thank you, we got it,” historically IG reads these but never responds directly, Usually,

Been playing the Windows 10 version, In love with it, but I’ve just noticed that the Result screen just shows ‘missing text’

so I played three games more just thing it could of been a once off hick up -

Pictures 1,2 and 3 are done one after another

so I thought i’d close the game down then load it back up and go and punch and kick once again but as picture 4 shown it’s again the Ultra combo of the missing text!

so restarting my pc and once again I went and rubbed my rash up against someone else online but the 5th picture shows that I got destroyed by Penta-Ultra Combo by the missing text

I’m new to KI, playing on the PC version, and have been running into a very annoying bug.
Essentially, sometimes after I start searching for a match online, the search will go on indefinitely, and when I then try to exit the search, the game freezes on a nearly black screen. This forces me to alt-tab out of the game and close it via the toolbar - however, it doesn’t truly close the game, because I can open my task manager and still see the process running! Since the process is still running, I can’t re-open KI, and it takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes for the process to actually end itself. I’ll include the step by step and a screenshot of the frozen screen below.

The process:
Start KI.
Select Multiplayer.
Choose any multiplayer mode - I usually choose exhibition.
Choose “Search”
Any time during the search, press B on a controller to back out of the search.
The game freezes on what I assume is a transition between menus.

If you look carefully near the bottom of the screenshot, you can see the words “select” and “back” extremely faintly - the same goes for the word “exhibition” at the top.

My PC specs:
Intel(R) Core™ i7-4710MQ CPU @ 2.50GHz
16GB RAM
750GB Hard Drive
Nvidia GeForce GTX850M graphics card (the card i use - I also have an integrated intel graphics card: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600)

I cannot access Shadow Lab since the 3.0 update.

  1. On main menu: select shadow Lab and press enter.
  2. Systems tries to connect with the server but fails to download data.
  3. Prompt screen asks me try again or not. If I try again then the same problem as in the previous step 2 occurs.

I had one shadow in slot 2 from season 2.
All other modes work fine including multiplayer.

Every now and then whn I try to do a shadow cyber dash with A and B,it does a counerbreaker for some reason. Help? I lost games because of this.

This may be related to a training mode bug I have found: Sometimes, if you have shadow meter refill set to infinite, your combo will never reach level 4, even if you are inputting shadow move after shadow move, having sometimes reached +100 hit combos and still staying at level 3 ender.

In Exhibitions, I played someone who had Cinder as I had Hisako. If you know the characters, you know that Cinder has Third Degree which is a Target Combo, a series of punches. In an ideal situation, Hisako should be able to use a Shadow Counter. As I said, in an ideal situation…

However, let say you block Cinder’s first hit and he does two jabs that are part of the Target Combo as Hisako does the Shadow Counter off of the first jab, she gets hit by the second jab and the game strangely locks up and the only way to get out from this situation is to do a Shadow Move. It is possible to attack but unless Hisako has no meter, the game cannot continue. Worse, if you restart Training Mode after the glitch without doing another Shadow Move, you have to restart the entire game. While this may sound funny, you don’t want such a situation in Ranked Leagues or in a Tournament Match. I did provide a video with commentary for the actual situation. Keep in mind it only works with the first two jabs from Third Degree by Cinder. I guess it could also work with chain jabs from any other members of the cast.

  1. Make sure that Hisako has one bar of Shadow.
  2. Make Hisako block a first hit from Cinder.
  3. Do two jabs as Cinder while Hisako starts the Shadow Counter after parying the first one.
  4. The game locks up as Hisako is hit by the second jab and gets free movement and attacks.
  5. Unless Hisako has another Shadow Meter for Possession or On Ryo Zan (AIR OK), the game cannot continue.

Also, I can not retrieve my Shadow labs profile on PC. It simply keeps loading indefinitely until it says “Data couldn’t be retrieved from Ultratech servers. Try again? Y/N?”

Omen Unlisted Changes:

-Orda Shield no longer travels around omen fully, the stop just behind his head.
-Shadow Orda Shield lasts significantly shorter.
-Many characters can still not shadow counter Omen’s Shadow Slide
-Heavy Orda shield may hit 3 times at once, or 3 times separately, changing the launch direction and adding difficulty to follow-ups

Found some things that causing Jago to end a Level 1 ender and leaves the opponent standing, which is Laser Sword ender and Endokuken ender.

Dear Microsoft, your store is so broken and horrible I had to do a clean install of Windows 10.

After I did so I was finally able to download KI but now I have a more KI specific issue: it is the only Metro app to close instantly as I open it, I can sit there and mash its icon and just watch the window open and close in rapid succession. Help please!

Sometimes, when searching for a game in exhibition, the game simply closes.
Also, shadows labs won’t connect to ultra servers! :confused:

used to play on Xbox if that helps.

After updating Season 3 on my Xbox I downloaded KI for my PC and the game gave me an error about the cloud sync taking too long and then when I told it to try again it just sits on Checking Downloadable content forever, never crashing or erroring but trying to check forever.

I have installed/unistalled and nothing has changed.
