New Combo Trait Confirmed for 3.4 Update

The generality about top players adapting and not complaining is simply not true. Just because one is good at SFV, KI, GGXRD, doesn’t remove the human element of thinking something is cheap, unfair or broken, regardless of whether it is. For every Alex Valle that will push through something classified as cheap, there will always be an equal number of pros that will complain. Your skill has nothing to do with that. Yes, moving to the point where you can move past it is optimal, but many of these same people who shed salt will win tournaments. I could make plenty of examples in KI, but I feel there’s no need for that.

On another note, this thread has gone way off post, so I’m going to leave it there. Thank you for everyone that replied to me with thought provoking and cordial comments.

Someone better answer that phone, because I called it!!

So she can launch mid-combo? Both the sound and the stream itself were cutting in and out on me, so I could barely tell what was happening and why, but that seems like a pretty cool trait. It also looks like she got a flip out? So I’m assuming she can combo, launch, do some stuff in the air, and then possibly land a flip out and continue the combo?

Yeah sorry, I could be 110% wrong on all of that. Like I said, I could barely see what was going on and heard every 10th word at times lol. Can someone give a bit more of a run down (that’s even remotely accurate lol) on what she can do and what it means?

Yeah she got flipouts on light moves and can launch after an auto double with :arrow_right:hk.

A little disappointed in the Sadira change in that I wouldn’t qualify this as a true combat trait.
I’ll play around with it to see if it really a useful change.

Well, 50% correctly guessed!

Her Mixups just got more disgusting, lol

I can see the hate mail already.

What, do you not think spinal’s spectral manuals or fulgore’s auto-triples count either?

I am not looking forward to jump-cancelled flipouts. Sadira’s changes make me cry but Kim’s changes make me super happy. Emotional rollercoaster, this patch. The launcher double can be broken by Heavies so that’s something at least.

Well it’s pretty easy to see and is a mid-combo launcher—that’s the whole of her combat trait. It should be easy to break, but I guess it should also be pretty also to counter-combo bait as well.

I just expected something different I guess. I’m still going to play around with her as she was my first main. I’ve been playing Kim Wu regardless of how bad the pros say she is and she’s only improved.

I’m fairly happy with the update although some of the problem characters could’ve been tweaked some more.

Is it easy to break? Seems to me more like she now has an unreactable heavy option after a double. I don’t know though because I can’t play because WINDOWS 10

What makes it difficult is that it can come out during any auto doubles so there isn’t a pattern. Unless you do it over and over again, it will be hard to know when it happens.

My condolences to myself.
Still a nice update to most characters including Sadira.

Nah, fang has a pretty big breakable window. It’s fairly reliably breakable on reaction, at least if you’re looking for it.

I think the flipout is the stronger addition to her kit, but I imagine the new trait will be good at catching people with their pants down sometimes.
