Like most Japanese words they can have multiple English counterparts. Shin has more than one English meaning indeed rangeing from “God”, to “True”
Yep, Shin Hisako is 100% scarier than normal Hisako
And I’m reasonably certain the flames were just an artistic thing for the video. All the other character shots from the video were basically “green screened”, so that wouldn’t surprise me here either.
And hey, if I’m wrong, I’ll only be wrong for 48 hours or so… 
EDIT: and yeah, “shin” is one of those words with no direct translation. Can mean true, god, or just a general sense of “awakened” or “realized”.
So maybe Shin Hisako is extra evil Hisako. lol

Another possible meaning of “shin” is “new” (for example, Shinbashi is a place in Japan, translates to “new bridge”). It’s a word with multiple meanings and it’s probably not too important to attach a specific, absolute meaning to it.
