New character revealed: Shin Hisako!

I know but that gave me the idea for the Hisako terror skin.

Nobody here is trying to make anyone like anything.

We’re just trying to make sure the debate is less of “IG sux no creativity give me Shadow Orchid delet dis characater.”

Well if you remember the Mira leak she literally had Maya’s stance and animation before they changed it. She was clutching two daggers that weren’t there so i think it’s safe to say she was built on top of Maya.

And TJ was built off Thunder’s rig and Maya was built off Orchid’s rig.

You don’t need to buy it man.

It’s just sold singularly too, so skip that and get the next if you want.

I think so, yeah. There were bugs that happened to Maya that also happened to Mira (for example, both of their backdashes are invincible for 3 extra frames, they fixed Maya’s cr.LK to be not negative on block but forgot to fix Mira’s which had the same frame data, etc).

But to me, Mira is not a remix character at all. I never think “oh that’s kinda Maya-like” when I see her played, the thought that she is based on another character never crosses my mind.

If anyone from this points uses the Exscuse we cant have Eagle because he is Fulgore im just gona say well Shin Hisako is Hisako so you can have both

Ig already retconned that. Fulgore and Eagle are two separate characters now.

I think you’re missing the fundamental truth that there are no “excuses” for anything. Anyone who says we can’t have Eagle because he’s Fulgore is just someone spitting into the wind on the Internet. The developers have never said that, and they don’t need any excuses. If they don’t want to make Eagle they don’t make him. If they want Eagle, they make him. There’s no “excuses” required.

You’re not the only one who does this, so I’m not trying to pick in you. But people need to stop thinking that just because somebody random says something on the forums that it has any relationship to the actual game and it’s development. Don’t attribute things that random posters say to the development team.

Hey who needs to read that crap when you can just make hypothetical retorts to arguments in the future, so long as you get your uneducated opinion out then who cares am I right.

sorry for the double post, but since this is a separate thought I didn’t want to edit it into the above.

As far as “taking up a slot” that could have been used for something you like better, I think this is a terrible fallacy. I don’t think it’s true, even if you’re looking at a season where they have a set number of characters. The idea that any character you don’t like is a waste of a “slot” that could be filled with a character you like just assumes that whatever it is you DIDNT GET would be better than what you did get. Which is dubious. But I’m the case if the remix characters it’s doubly true because there is absolutely no indication at all that they would be giving us anything if they weren’t able to give us remix characters.

Same term that can be used on you:
tastes, opinions are opinions. ad here’s mine : U

perosnally, I got a way better challenge off of Shadow Jago in season1 then that poor excuse for a boss. Shao Kahn from MK2 was nastier than him.

Boss difficulty has nothing to do with it’s worth. Sure the game has pretty graphics and satisfying fatalities
however
beyond that, I can say the combo mechanics are not very deep. MKX is good in its own right, but I prefer KI way more.

MKX has guests up the wazoo and they’re not even Game characters even. In MKX you can win by knowing only one combo and you don’t really have to know anything else to win. You don’t have to change up your gameplay or throw out different combos cause you’ll never get broken. You can KINDA vary your moves if you want, but really, you can just win by doing only one specific combo. Sure MKX has alot of other stuff but if you just know one good combo, you ust open up your opponent and BOOM ya win, easy.

In KI you have to not only know your moves but know your opponent. You have to know their habits, catch them when they try to do stuff, if someone is guess breaking you have an option to counter it easily, You just need to pick up on your opponent’s bad habits.

While MKX may have more straight forward gameplay it lacks depth as a consequence to this. KI may seem barebones on the surface, but it’s deep in the fact that you have to do more than know how to use combos to beat your opponent.

MKX doesn’t require anything but the basics of knowing when to hit your opponent with a special move or a combo (which can be tough sometimes giving how weird and janky the positioning can be) but it still goes back to “Only one combo to win” this is, in my opinion, why MKX is bare bones in gameplay. It has shiney new features like story, and such, but gameplay, not much

While it’s nice they were able to expand with body types everyone is still not as diverse as KI’s roster. I will say at least MKXs is better than Tekken which isn’t really saying much though but compared to KI it’s definatly lower rank wise.

Story wise, sure, MKX may have big story with cutscenes and shiney cinimatics, but its story was crap. Shinnok gets beaten’ by Cassy Cage
really? I felt like the new characters were gettin’ pushed in my face with only a handful I like, such as Kotal Kahn. I will say the new cast is still better than from the 3D era of MKDA and MKD. Even so, with what KI has budge wise, it’s a better experience in my opinion.

I still love the MK series but MKX isn’t as good as MK9 if I am to be honest, even if it does have its upsides.

Wait Shao Khan was in KI2?! Guess MK vs. KI happened after all.

Fixed in the post. Back on topic:

I think MKX isn’t as good as KI gameplay wise. When I got bored of the story with MKX it’s gameplay hadlittle to keep me interested.

To get further back on topic: I was hoping we’d get a uniqe character with the Samurai and I’m a bit bummed it’s Hisako again, still I will wait and see if she’ll be any fun before I continue my jugement any further.

Well at least there’s that last character since he/she is not a remix.

True but I was really hoping for a Smaurai character with the armor and such, be lying if I said I didn’t like Samurais lol. I was just hoping it would be a uniqe character. But like I said, I’ll reserve further judgement before I play the character.

Will she be a ninja tho?

No she’s a samurai now.

Understandable.

I guess I’m just not as disappointed as most others since

  1. Hisako’s one of my favorite characters so I’m curious what other direction the devs want to take her
  2. I like ninjas more than samurais
  3. Throughout this whole speculation ordeal, I always kept my expectations moderate because we don’t know want to expect. Personally I feel that’s one the main drawbacks of speculating. While they can be really fun, at the same time there comes a point where we become too attached to an specific idea to when it doesn’t happen, it feels disappointing at least and soul crushing at worst.

This is true, while I usually don’t fall in love with an idea as speculation, I would be lying if I didn’t say that I was really looking forward to the idea of a new, fresh samurai character. But really should of kept it moderate.

On that note it’s like I said before: I’ll wait to play her before I judge any further. I guess I know how ya feel about being excited though, cause I was pretty excited for Kilgore, since Fulgore was my favorite, so the idea he was getting a brother excited me.
