New character revealed: Shin Hisako!

She looks, acts, bends, glitches like Hisako. Therefore Shin Hisako. End of Story. When she looks and acts like a regular Japanese Chiahru then we can call her Shin Chiharu. Right now, the vengeful spirit is loose and her name is Shin Hisako.

Also DR Fate reveal trailer for Injustice 2.

WHAT?!

(looks up Eddy Tekken)

I need to sit down. My heart is about to explode.

thank you.

Aw f*ck. A spirit inside another? Its a legion then. Somekind of Ermac. Spirit loop confirmed.
Would be easier to figure out if thay made shisako a souless. While Hisako was chiharu’s soul.

You are seriously over thinking on this.

Nope just concerned of a sequel plot.

Not legion, no. There’s still only the one soul, but that spirit has been incarnated into multiple entities.
This being has held many different forms. A little girl, a spirit of vengeance, a guardian of the earth… even holding multiple roles and being incarnated as separate beings at any one time.

Think of Voldemort from Harry Potter. He split his soul apart and stored it different objects and even another being.

You shouldn’t be.have faith in the devs

ā€œthat spirit has been incarnated into multiple entitiesā€
No way! This is bs! C’mon @Fwufikins be honest here.

And with this, you have earned my like sir :tada::rage::tada:

Where are people getting that she twitches and contorts and has bad posture from? In the video tease (admittedly watched on my phone, so not the greatest quality), she seemed to be standing more or less straight. Her lightning slash was basically jumped animation to the follow-through of the swing, so not much to analyze on that front either. She’s still a ghost so it wouldn’t surprise me if some of that stuff remained (she still has the ā€œglitchā€ aura around her after all, it’s just golden), but I’m just not seeing where people are getting so certain that she will look and behave exactly like standard Hisako. Kilgore has some basic Fulgore things, but he’s also got plenty of his own stuff going on animation wise, and certainly gameplay wise.

If it’s about that awkward-looking sitting pose she’s doing in the concept art, that’s actually a thing that (real, living) Japanese people do. Looks uncomfortable as all hell to me, but I’ve seen the W-sitting (that’s the best term for it I’ve been able to find) from both Japanese men and women, though definitely more prominently from younger women or girls.

@Infilament Remembering the jokes from @TheKeits on Twitter about Violent Ken, I almost feel like the name itself is a thinly disguised joke about one of the FG genre’s favorite tropes. Kind of the same way the Pinnacle stage ultra animation is intentionally bad, to make a pseudo-point about past knockoffs and finishers in games. Not necessarily my preference, but I could see that being the case. Or, it could just be more about @BigBadAndy’s point, and the suits were like ā€œHisako is popular and we’re remixing her - make sure everyone knows it’s a Hisako remixā€. :-p

And sidenote: I’d genuinely forgotten that Hisako was considered a ā€œhard to playā€ character. I’ve just gotten so used to running her that I’d kind of forgotten that a lot of people found her tough. Funny how that works

Try googling Reincarnation. There are several religions in which the soul is on more than one place either in one or in multiple lifetimes.
Buddhism, Hinduism, and -most importantly for this situation- Japanese Shinto, all spring to mind.

Not to mention all the pop culture properties that have dealt with it, like Harry Potter, Inuyasha, Tanya the Evil, Groot…
And that’s without getting into cloning.

What about me? I was the first one online to pass 100 turns in SL. Before that no one even knew if passing 100 was possible. (Obviously the devs knew)

Not to be that guy, but…

.#800 hype post about Shin Hisako.

Woo!

My dear, reincarnation you can only do that once at the time. You cant reincarnate and have your own soul hanging around. Once you reincarnate your soul are sealed into your body. So what she’s doing here as a living being at this same very game?

It’s a video game.Logic gets thrown out the window

This isn’t the first property that’s done it either. Inuyasha used time travel to get a reincarnation in the same room as the original copy, and Harry Potter and The Ring used Soul Splitting (having the spirit fragment into multiple entities) as an answer.

And let’s not even touch Supernatural.

Does there need to be a canonical reason for Hisako v Shin Hisako matches?

i think alot of over thinking is goin on, but thats just my opinion. killer instinct was never known for a deep and complex plot
