Mods for PC version?

If you are not supposed to post any links, maybe you might say something like “go to such and such forum with the topic something or other for the link”

Can’t post links, but I guess you can still indicate where a link might be located. On that note, should we migrate this conversation, @Beterthnyu?. Xentax, Sfxt, Killer Instinct Central, or even Killer Instinct Reddit might work to freely communicate your progress and (pleeeease!) share your updated models.

As always, thanks for your efforts.

either that or you’re gonna get spammed with pm’s asking for those dl links when you post a vid of Orchid in action, that vid is destined for the front of SRK and who knows how many other sites

The easy thing to do, as many other modders do, is to share the finished mods on your deviantart account. Deviantart allows direct downloads.

Simply point us to your deviantart account and we’ll follow the link

Or the Nexus, I always find awesome mods there. There are some SFV mods there already

There’s a couple KI character models on Deviantart for Source Filmmaker now already. Arbiter (several costumes) and Shadow Jago.

■■■■ dude. Don’t approach them with insults. LOL.

After all the problems this game has given me to get it running properly, there’s no way in god’s green Earth I’m modding this game. lol

Well, that was fast. I already saw it.

Where? I need link!!

On Yare-Yare-Dong’s gallery.

I can’t find his account. I need link…

I feel you, I had install problems too, the prospect of me breaking something and having to re-download 6 hours (errors included) of game is enough to scare me from doing anything without a tutorial

I’d like to second this comment. Somewhere like Shoryuken, SFXT Mods, or Deviant Art would be a good place to post your process and your mods, and I’m sure tons of people would appreciate it. For the record, I created an account just to say this, so it’s very much wanted by me

@TempusChaoti well as PC gamers we have come to fully accept that modding can totally wreck an entire game. I have destroyed my GTA 5, Fallout, Skyrim etc with modding. But that does not mean it can’t be fixed infact all you need to do is completely delete and reinstall and problem solved.

I am also curious what about youtube? on youtube you can find all the KI sound tracks and well soundtracks for practically any game should that also fall under Piracy as they too didn’t have the rights to do so?

Also Orchid by Double Helix looks horrible. You guys should have fixed that when you took over KI her face is ugly. The mod this guy created looks so much better.

Apologies for the slight derailing in advance.

If only that was true. Mods can mess with things beyond just their own game space, and of course there’s tons of room for malware to be installed with them. Most users aren’t very familiar with these things and don’t know how to protect themselves from malicious applications. When their machine suddenly doesn’t work, it’s generally not a complaint or call to the mod maker, because they’re not even “running that game”, but to the company that made the OS in the first place. This is why, until we officially support mods, we don’t want tutorials posted on the forum.

It does, it’s just not as enforced. If someone posts a video on youtube of copyrighted material that they don’t own, usually for views, which you can get paid out from, you’re profiting from someone else’s work of which you have no claim to. Unfortunately the onus is on the original owner to track down and file claims against use of copyrighted material, and that is draining and time consuming.

Here’s a video that I thought was rather eye-opening on how people make money from YT off of other people’s work without compensation back to the creator(s). Warning: Strong Language, could be NSFW

On topic: Seems that Retro Orchid (from the old test images above) is going more Angelina Jolie than Janet Jackson this time out.

@TempusChaoti wow I didn’t know they were profiting from those videos. lol and yeah millions of people being able to upload on youtube I could see how time consuming that would be to track down countless people.

BTW you guys did an Amazing job on Maya’s face I don’t think any modder can match that her hair is really good. She don’t have big breast like Orchid sadly but yeah the person who designed her is a champ. Thankfully DH didn’t get the chance to wreck her like they did Orchid.

But hey it could be worse, nothing is uglier than Vagrant Alex from SF5 with hair that looks like french fries thank god some modder created the SF3 3rd Strike Alex mod for SF5, may the good lord bless his soul for without modding I never would have bought SF5

Off topic but, I didnt know you watched grade A under A hahaha. That video is great. Sadly I have seen reaction videos that did stuff for your Ki trailers which is sad :frowning:

Anyway on topic, I think a lot of the other stuff you’ve guys have done art great (especially Hisako, though not a fan of her Retro. Not sure what you were basing it off from.)

Hisako in my opinion is your guy’s best creation <3

Do you think there is a possibility for MS to include community fixed content (models) in KI. By fixed, I think about smoothing edges without rising polycount, fix clipping issues and so on..

The new Unreal Tournament from Epic Games follows this concept. Most of the Weapons and Maps currently in the game are partially made by the community and they even hired one of the talented concept artists

I’m sure, there are a lot of passionate talented people out there who want to help.
