Sounds good to me, honestly most of the feedback I hear is that they’re to similar to the originals. I know that sounds silly because they’re supposed to be shadow clones but still a little more than gangrenous skin would help!
Although mimic skins are a cool idea, it is very unfortunate that you cannot use any accessories or colors with them. That doesn’t make any sense, since they do use color two when the skin is used on both sides.
At least in my opinion, most of them do not look very good with the default color schemes, as they do not fit well with the green. (Exceptions are those like Glacius and Riptor.) And I was surprised that the mimic skins act as whole alternate costumes. Hopefully in the future you can use colors and accessories with them. Until then, I will stick to the regular customization.
The hardest thing is to beat Gargos, I’m used to deal with all cheap stuff bosses have but is VERY LIKELY that a lot of people will use KI Gold to get the Guests and Omen’s mimic skin, I was so close to beat Gargos on Normal. At least I can have fun destroying mimics when I don’t know what to do.
So… mimic skins.
The good news is the retro costumes get mimic skins.
The bad news… mimic skins are considered new “costumes” that have only one color and cannot be customized… At all, no accessories.
Because Mimic’s are in it’s own Selection they should add a Purple Color Mimic for Eyedol’s Minions. Green for Gargos, Purple for Eyedol.
Completely agreed, mimic seem to have their own “colors” since green is color 1. A purple color 2 would be awesome.
And if That color is for Eyedol it can add to future Shadow Lord story. After all they did say more stuff will be added later right?
Edited up the first post to reflect post-launch feedback.
Could this perhaps be the ‘shaders’ they mentioned previously?
I wish you could use the second color that a mimic could appear as. Why only the defult? also some characters should have their clothes changed. Like hisako shouldn’t have her default outfit color, maybe like a purple or something. It doesn’t match with the green skin.
Terribly sorry to bump this back up but I feel its relevant and I don’t want to make a repeat topic to say the same exact thing. Now we’re seeing a set of purple “shadow” mimic skins and that’s part of what we suggested here, so that’s a plus but they still suffer from the same problems that the mimics do, the default clothing/hair/accessories clash and look terrible on them.
Mimics and Shadows would look so much better if the clothing matched the skins they’re affixed to, or at least if we had the option to choose the colors we want for the clothes from our existing 9 character colors.
season 4 perhaps… Thats why i keep saying focus the budget on stuff. Not characters and their expensive stages.
Yeah, I’m sure anything big like that’ll require us to wait.
Also I just realized I suggested purple versions of the mimics in the OP. lol
Called it Purple Mimic skins although I was wrong about the hole Eyedol Mimics because they are now apparently Shadow Skins I still said the idea of the Purple ones first so called it
