Kim’s retro is spot on. I was wondering how it was going to be done without showing off her hoo-ha like in KI2.
I’m ambivalent about the cloth length. With gravity/physics in play, too long of a cloth would make it tough to have it react to movement in a realistic way I’m sure.
Retro colors 1 and 2 are clean, classy, and elegant. I’m not really fond of the others though sadly.
It’s funny the things you pick. IN the original you don’t see her belly button because the skirt thing is up higher and her coat actually comes down lower.
Go back and circle that too, so that people have more circles to ignore.
Why can they just give us the true retro costume. This is a complete disappointment again. It’s not like it’s the sexiest costume ina fighting game out there. She will look similar to Sadiras costume. Get rid of the shorts. This is a big slap in the face to the original fans.
Personally I never cared for seeing her flossing during a knockoff. I welcome the shorts. it makes her original costume less tacky.

If people want Kim Wu as she was in KI2, then they should go play KI2.
[/quote]You know, I’ve been a huge Transformers fan for years, & among fans there has always been a demand for there to be a remake/reboot using the original characters…essentially just more of the same, & just about every time the reply was “change is good, if you like the original Transformers so much the old shows are still floating around, go watch them because we’re doing something new & fresh here”. That being said their Classics toy line has been one of their longest running & consistently best selling lines in recent times while their ‘new & fresh’ series keep being hit or miss…yet still no new original style show. There was the Cybertron games & Devastation, & they were glorious & did fairly well, enough to merit continued investment, but still no cartoon.
The point is, I can certainly understand why someone would want her retro costume to be exact…I think what’s been presented is even better (that’s just me), but telling someone if they want the retro costumes then they should play the old games is not an answer to what’s being asked here. What’s being asked is incorporation of the old into the new.
But whatever, like I said I think her retro is fine.
She looks great. I love her face too. One thing I really really want for KI is more customization options though. I would love to remove the outter top, from her default costume, as well change colors for certain parts of clothing. Maybe I like the yellow top, but I want her to have dark hair. Just more options. Please..
Great job, designers. She looks sexy and realistic. I can’t believe how you took two throwaway, forgettable characters like her and Maya and made them fantastic in every way. Thank you.
Thing is, since day one, the “retro” costumes haven’t been exact copies of the original outfits. So to expect that from any future retro outfits is only putting yourself up for disappointment, because as is obvious, they were never meant to be exact copies.
