Seeing everyone’s progress and accomplishments in here gave me inspiration to try for Killer rank.
Last week I had a promo match, against a pro-star Kan-Ra, match went as expected.
So I tried again today, the game must have felt sorry for me and matched me against a low-level Master-rank Gold player, with a Lv.4 character selected.
I kind of feel unworthy of the promotion, after facing so many Killer-rank players who are much better than I am. But if the game says I’m worthy, who am I to say otherwise!

So heres something I randomly came across. I made it to killer on my dummy account and got the achievement for it, but then realized that hey, achievement rarity can be used to figure out how many killers there are! Right now the killer achievement has been unlocked by 0.18% of the community. Assuming the 7,000,000 players thing is still accurate that means only 12,000 people have made it to killer, which means that currently there are probably less than that many players in the rankings since that achievement number counts everyone that’s ever unlocked it, including people that lost their rank or never re qualified after the reset.
Another interesting tidbit is that the number of people that completed the qualifying matches is 1.68% of the community which should be around 117,000 people. Again the number currently is probably smaller since that counts everyone that’s ever done it and not simply the current number of players but using these numbers it seems a little over 10% of the ranked community has made Killer.

Oh god, I never thought I’d get here. I know seems like everyone on this forum is a Killer but I was always on the outside looking in *sad puppy face*. I mained Sabrewulf but I just plateaued hard at Gold (my reflexes and fundamentals are so badddd) and eventually just quit on even thinking of getting Killer. Figured it wasn’t for me.
I played a ton of Shadow Survival with lots of different characters and I realized my Glacius was getting curiously good (originally I was terrible with him). Decided to try him out against humans and found that even though I was worse with him than Wulf, my strategy and fundamentals were much better. I didn’t have to rely quite so much on in-your-face action (again, my reaction times suckkkkk). Realized I might actually be able to do this, so I lived, breathed, and ate Glacius as much as I could. Then decided to make a go of it in Ranked to see how I progressed and found that I WASN’T getting demolished every match. And 10 days later I finally made it to Killer. My league record is nothing great but damnit I don’t care anymore! haha.
I’m actually a little glad I can get back to doing my tour of all the characters to try them all and learn them. I was submerged in so much Glacius, I kind of missed playing the rest of the cast.
A big thanks to @sonicdolphin117. You don’t know me and never will and we’ve never talked and never played, but you helped me a ton with your various Glacius Youtube videos hahaha.

A little late to the party but I made it to the Killer, it was…really weird, it’s not that difficult because of the random rank opponents but I have serious trouble with some of the Gold or Killer ranks, apart for some unfortunate disconnects I think I did pretty decent, never interested for ranked until I have to get a fight there for a Daily Reward xD but I decide to rank up so…yei!!!

I know I’m late to the party, but I finally made it back into Killer Rank today!
Feels good to have that back on my profile card. And it’s all thanks to Shinsako! Now I’ve got to play a set once a month if I want to keep it, but whatever!

Congrats. Never did the grind but maybe I should. After all these years, I still haven’t found that character to be playing and get gud with, lol.
