Killer Instinct Season 3 Graphics Shine Brighter

I’m sure it’s totally to plan, no doubt about that.

You have a point. You are just passionate about your favorite game.

Maybe everyone can understand when it’s a huge thing in your life

You guys moved up the HALO WC to combat StageGate. Obviously.

Those worried about only getting three stages in Season 3 need to remember that we haven’t had an official announcement of character numbers, potential costumes or accessories for S1, 2 characters, or… really much of anything beyond three visually confirmed characters and the balance changes.

For all we know, Season 3 might be extremely cheap to purchase, or might be around the same price (WHICH IS STILL FREAKING CHEAP) as the other seasons, but include a buttload of extras.

Please, let’s wait for the big announcements before we start making too many assumptions.

I’m still learning 1st grade Cthulhuian language. easy with the fancy words

OMG THE ARBITER TRAILER!!!

the stage and thunder

@rukizzel Did the trailer today have the new lighting engine in? I didn’t think it did when i saw it.

What is all this nonsense about season 3 only having 3 stages I’m reading about? I would assume that means AT LAUNCH, there’s no way they would put out characters without stages. That’s kind of half the package you get, no new stages means no new ultra melodies, no new stage ultras, no new music… Why would they pull that Atlas dude and Cellar Dweller in for three songs.

I refuse to believe that. :stuck_out_tongue:

They have said that every new character will have their own music. They will give us more details about the new music and stage systems soon. But yes, only 3

Not sure if you’re joking or not. But in case you’re not, you should check out tmnore of the thread. Both Rukari and Adam have said there’s only 3 stages multiples times. And Adam has said that all characters will have their themes, what that means is something we have to wait to find out. So either the final stage is going to a returning character or we get a neutral stage for everyone else (SKY STAGE! WHOOO!).
That last bit is just speculation.
EDIT:-Thanks @Fnrslvr, there’s so many threads with the same argument, I forgot where I was.

Uh, I don’t know how to tell you this, but…

Well how would you know if you’ve never seen what the stage would look like with the old lighting?

Im just guessing based on the overall “feel” of it.

In the new pictures we have been given, you can very clearly see every light source, while the old versions of the stages had some “light” that was clearly not actual light, but a re-coloring to simulate light.

But arbiters stage really only has one super noticeable light source (the sun), so its really hard to tell if it was old graphics or new graphics.

The only evidence i could find is that the characters have shadows on them at one point, so i think it is new graphics, but overall it looks like old graphics.

A better answer would be:

Maybe they purposely did a different lighting style on Arbiters stage than all of the others; so that it would look more like Halo lighting.

Hadn’t read all of that, sorry. Still sounds pretty bogus and I refuse to believe that somehow everyone gets music but not their own stages, no matter how many slick tongued developers say there are only three. These are the guys who go out of their way to carefully word things about Shago being the “only character in the game” with an ultimate. For all we know this is just more sly wordplay to misdirect people.

Again, I don’t believe it. Something fishy is going on. I’ll be holding onto my $40 until I know exactly what is going on.

They specifically mentioned that “only character in the game” quote when confirming the 3 stages. They don’t want people dissecting their wording or looking into things because they’ll just be disappointed.

That’s why I’m taking all of this talk with a grain of salt, I don’t want to jump on either bandwagon until I know the situation. If more than half of the season 3 cast won’t have their own stages, that is pretty cringe worthy in my opinion. The community wants MORE stages, they want classic stages, they want alternate stages, they want sky stages. Its one of the biggest community requests on anyone’s list. I don’t believe that they would actually decide to give us less of what we’re clamoring for in favor of something else.

If anything that would only serve to make the season 3 cast feel half-hearted since they wouldn’t even be “full” characters with their own levels. If that is truly the case I hope season 3 characters are sold at half price since we’re getting half the content per fighter. (Yes characters are more important but as they never forget to remind us, stages are a lot of effort and an integral part of what makes the KI cast feel unique)
