I also think S3 production wise will be bigger than S1 and 2. I have been playing KI since day one and there are a lot of things that I’d look @ and think “this game is so fun and so addicting but I wish the had the budget to do this or maybe rework things in the engine so this could be a thing” but in the end I knew it would cost a lot to really fix things like lighting and then I saw Kim Wu’s stage and smiled. Though I was pretty shocked / down about the news I am gonna be excited to play in this new world of S3 that plays so different and looks so much better than the game I bought in 2013.
I wonder if existing stages will have multiple “themes” like the difference between Jago and Shago’s stages. I could see Thunder and Tusk sharing Thunders stage with Tusk’s being daylight or a red sky.
I think you meant to @rukizzel but I think they have a W10/Xbox event in 5 days that KI news will be @ so I’m guessing soon. I think its a good amount of time for this news to sink in before we find out some of the goods.
I think 1 stage and music per character was a part of KI hype. that’s really unfortunate for S3.
But let’s try to predict and speculate.
ok. presumably Rash will not have his own stage. Kim Wu already has one. “Halo guest character” also has one.
There should be one more for Gargos and Eyedol. There are still at least 4 characters left. Can you imagine Tusk without stage and music?
still hyped but a little disappointed.
Every character is gonna have music.
I predict choices do not share even now.
530 posts in 15 hours. Easily the fastest growing thread ever on these boards. By comparison, the combo assist thread (which had a lot of posts and some heated debate from many people) didn’t hit 530 posts for over 5 days.
At least the devs got their answer as to whether this was important to the community or not. ![]()
I do hope they’ve got some good news to share soon. A lot of FGC eyes are on SFV right now, and this is a pretty direct kick in the groin for a lot of diehard fans. KI had a ton of momentum after KI World Cup and I’d hate to see it all dissipate so quickly, for both prospective and current fans.
l don’t think there will be only 3 stages in s3. l think every character will get his stage.3 are the stages that they are going to show us for now.kim wu,rash and arbitors stages.they said 3 not to give us the final number of the characters
its already confirmed in this thread. 3 Stages in total for S3
it is absurd that there are people so stubborn. You’ll have to go to a new level! from “hope” to “protest.”
That’s one thing I fear most than the “only 3 stages thing” and that’s perhaps this means that we’ll have plenty of guests or shadow versions of existing characters.
We know already two stages: Kim Wu and Arbiter (more or less), there’s only another missing and I’d go with Tusk cause his inclusion was planned from very long time (I’d hpe with his stage as well).
I’ll support the game obviously, but I’m kinda scared to say the truth.
At least we have a target for community funding. We just have to see what they did because everyone gets their own music but.. doesn’t have a stage. I guess maybe that means I can listen to a stage-less characters tune on anyone’s stage? Weird.
if they have only 3 stages in season 3 there souldn’t be a season 3 at all.they are making the game worse. i really hated capcom for doing these tactics to suck money in sf. clone characters, clone stages, new lights, new moves. if that is true the game is dead.
Whoa there, let’s not say things we can’t take back.
A few points here.
- We still don’t know what the value proposition for season 3 could be. I mean, the game has been great value up until this point and arguably the core changes justify the asking price for season 3, but with the business model currently in place, those core changes alone aren’t going to convince people to buy the actual season 3 package.
- People want to hear that the actual substance of the game is being expanded, that the game is still growing. Games that grow remain relevant, and ensure that players have new things to explore and master. With the lack of any word on this matter mere weeks from launch, the slipped-in three stages announcement fuels speculation that season 3 could be quite hollow. (We’ve since received some hints that it won’t be, mind.)
- The already-fielded hangups about stages helping to convey character identity and whatnot.
None of the points above are addressed by pointing out how amazing the game has been thus far, or really even by highlighting the core/system changes and reworking of existing content. Those things are great, and certainly ought to abate any doomsaying even if season 3 turns out to be half the package the previous seasons were, but it’s going a bit far to tell people not to express disappointment or concern.
What’s wrong with guests and shadow characters?
Did I just see a hint that Season 1 stages have become interactive?
Well all of the stages are already at least reactive. Music and effects change based on player health and combo hit count, plus the musical ultras. I think that’s what @TempusChaoti is talking about.
I’m wondering though, since a lot of work is going into existing stages, that we may receive some new Stage Ultras.
My inpput in this whole Graphics stuff I am 100% okay with it. I mean the only stage I played alot was ARIAs stage. And what i think is that the hate is uneccesary. Because I am such a Kayeye stan i am ready for the changes coming. If Season has some features that will potentially grow the scene immensely, then i am all on board. Now which brings me to the 3 stages. So now i am slightly more convinced Eyedol will be in S3 since theres on 3 stages cmon now. BUT ANYWAYS. You have my support for the 3 stages and the thing that has been in porduction over the 3 stages hopes inmpress me. Yea so I am for the 3 stages

we just have to hope for a Community fund for extra steps in future.
It’s just that I’d like completely new characters instead of shadow versions and I think two guests would be enough for a game with this roster…I’d go with three too if the third would be Skorge but it’s impossible.
To be clear, I’m positive that S3 contents will be great, I don’t need a 50 chars roster or 3000 stages but I would like a “dedicated” roster…6 guests would be too much imho (if true, anyway).
