Killer Instinct Season 3 Graphics Shine Brighter

This is me waiting for season 3

it doesn’t matter how sugar coated it could have been, it would have been as bad.

I for one appreciate the dryness of rukizzel posts. No ultimates, and only three stages, and that’s it. I’m ■■■■■■ but I prefer it this way. I got fed’up with PR speak already with the Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco, thanks.

this is not true and I don’t know why you are saying this. I grind Survival mode a lot and I’m always playing at all stages daily.

Oh, and btw: I don’t see the new lightning as a benefit at all. At least not yet. I do like how the stages look, but the look on the characters I don’t.

They didn’t just fix it, they improved it substantially over the original. Maybe this was done to bring the PC version up to modern standards. Nevertheless, I always said that I didn’t want a PC port at the expense of characters, and without Eyedol and nomadic characters I am starting to wonder if that wasn’t the trade. I really am.

While that may be true, the game does look better than ever. So, Imo, the money was used decently.

Really, you’re in a discussion about lack of content, using SF5 has the better alternative?

What money worth for if we can’t have a FULL season 3?

You’re right, the situation wouldn’t change, I just want them to be honest about the whole thing and provide substantial information about it.

they have computers that compile the code from X! to PC and minor tweaks are made and sometime not so minor, but the majority of the work is done

Ah, gotcha. I’m not an engineer, so that’s helpful to know.

sure, that spaghetti hair looks so dynamically lighted now.

Maybe it’s time for me to stop posting, because all I really want to post is snarky remarks, because my passive aggressiveness is too ■■■■ high now.

See you tomorrow, bye.

Nope. More of SFV being a filler and for me to learn while waiting for KI. My hype for Ki S3 got a bit lower so SFV has my current attention. When more stuff for Ki comes,I will be back. Think of it as a break.

ya man i feel ya, were paying for them screwing up the lighting 2 years ago. but a break? naaaaa

I’m with you. The hype level was maximum. It’s now, well, not.

Holy ■■■■ guys. Here we go again. Look - there are different ways to feel about pieces of news. Feelings are always legitimate. But some responses are useful and productive and others are not. It’s fine to express your disappointment but let’s try to be mature about it. For once.

I am shocked and surprised that there will be only three new stages. I was not expecting that at all. I probably should have thought of this possibility, because I always post in the threads asking for classic stages that the game already has more than the average modern fighter. But it had seemed that the stage per character rule was part of the game. I will be interested to see what this means. People are assuming that it somehow means more characters, but I doubt that’s the case. It might signal fewer characters. We will have to see. I’m guessing this won’t be the last surprise that people may not like.

I do think the new lighting looks great. There have been many people clamoring for the game to get graphical upgrades, so I think it’s a touch unfair for people to be carrying on when they make those changes that they only wanted them if they got everything else too. We have all been building imaginary S3 in our heads and I’m afraid we might have some unrealistic ideas. Like when they told us no Ultimates and everyone found a way to believe that there would be Ultimates. @rukizzel had to say like ten times - “seriously, just three stages” and still people are like “I’m sure he’s joking.” 21 stages in total is a lot. SF V has half that. And I know very little about game design or programming but I know enough to know that changing the lighting is a big resource sink. So, agree or disagree, they chose to make this upgrade to the visuals instead of more new content.

I think it’s possible that we will not get as much content as we expected with S3, which could be very disappointing. But we will know for sure soon enough and it is possible that we will get some things that make this a distant memory.

Cackling madly and draining meter during vortex play?

Don’t need to look. Already saw that thread and I lived the transition. I saw a lot of people crying about a negligible change.

Perhaps even if there hadn’t been a lighting change with S2, this tremendous lighting overhaul still would have happened.
Or maybe they only did it because of all the blubbering 5 months ago…
Be careful what you whine about.

Last season, the forum criers are loudly proclaiming how important the lighting is and that the game is ruined by bad lighting.
Now we get this news and suddenly “who cares about stupid lighting?! We need more stages!”

For me I would be disappointed with three stages, yeah true if it was any other fighting game it would be OK but for me the stages were part of the character I felt like it would show there personality and story just with what I see and the combination of the stage and its theme made me think of the character.
