Killer Instinct Season 3 Graphics Shine Brighter

I’m pretty sure having the game on another platform (so more people can play) and upping the graphics is more important that getting another 9 stages.

Don’t get me wrong though, I would have liked having 9 more stages as well.

im going to post this again cause its important:

what the majority of you may not know is that IG screwed up the lighting from SE1 with all the new SDK’s MS was sending out. The lighting was so bad they scrapped it which is why people noticed a visual downgrade from SE1. They always had fixing the lighting was high on the list of priorities now that it seems that the XBox one API’s are pretty much complete.
They basically blew their whole wad on returning the games lighting to SE1. (aka double helix days)

game play over graphics DEVS!!! and no Ultimates?

Anyone who defends this are just shills.

What they’ve accomplished is WAY beyond the quality of S1 lighting.

I wonder if they’re going to announce “only 3 stages” at the game show next week or keep it strictly on forums?? Interesting indeed. Also seems like a good distraction for not showing a trailer tonight.

I hate you. NOOOOO. STAY TUNED. SALT LEVEL IS RISING. ITS OVER 9000…—Initiate project devestation—

What I’m more curious about is how it’s all going to work. One of the most unique aspects of KI to me is how each character has their own soundtrack and stage that represents them very well.

How will the other characters soundtracks interact in the game now since they won’t have their own dedicated stage?

All he said is stay tuned.

I don’t think it’s so much laziness.

More like Distribution of Resources into the game to make it better. Stages really don’t make the game better. (If you get what I mean by that) it’s the graphics, the gameplay, ect…

I think they confirmed that all that Arbiter footage was in-game from KI.

Maybe it was some weird set piece that they rigged up for some crazy new story mode, but that background seemed super involved and a ton of work to just throw away like that. So it’s probably a stage.

If true, it means we know 2 of the 3 stages now. So yeah, you’ll have to place your bets on who gets the final stage.

marginally better. but if u wanna take blowing the whole budget cause they screwed up the lighting in the first place and make urself feel better? then by all means. adam heart said months ago this lighting fix was crazy expensive and time comsuming, and that they made the choice in november of last year.

I’m assuming they’re giving us a feature where we can choose our own stage music, or season 3 characters who don’t have their own stage will have a “home” stage. If you choose the vampire for example, he may share a stage with Sabrewulf and you will hear his/her stage theme instead of the wulfs.

Now, this isn’t a way to talk to everyone, is it?

Tsk, Tsk.

I understand what’s you mean. I always want church stage for vampire and cave stage for Tusk. But they killed my dreams… They deconfimed Ultimate and stages for other characters. This is too much.

Wasn’t it confirmed that Rash had a stage and didn’t we hear his music already?

Aren’t Naruto stages literally just empty arenas lmao

Some are. Some are more interesting. Well it is one flat arena with the environment around it

It’s a hard choice.

It’s a question that’s being asked with SFV. At least for it’s initial launch, that’s the justification with bare bones single player features.

I’m incredibly disappointed. After the world cup, you guys had all the momentum; then two weeks with no new information except a bait-and-switch today. I’m sure the developers are unhappy and I’m sorry you have to bear the brunt of our wrath, but every KI game had a stage and music for the character. We always had fewer characters that were fleshed out, not a million shoto-clones, “Evil” versions or ninjas like Street Fighter and MK. Part of the charm of this reboot was all the old characters we loved from our youths were being brought back and given their due respect. So yes, the lighting is beautiful. But no matter what, some of the characters we cared about are going to get short shrift vis-a-vis the other ones, and every time I see the lighting I’ll regret what wasn’t.
